One of the worst officiated games ive seen

Yes Overton out played millington but... they did have alot of help from the refs... I think millington had 12+ team fouls to overtons 3 or 5???? during the first half.. They let overton get away with just about everything. Also how is it overton lost to Central for the region championship and still gets to play for the state and millington won everygame and lost this one and are out??? That really doesnt make a whole lot of sense? Why isnt football playoffs like that? That needs to be changed. The region winners should go to the state or play each other and winner goes to the state... Not the 2 losin teams get another chance.

Well the reason for the format is to get the two best teams from four different districts.

 

I understand the statement comparing the number of fouls, but maybe one team was just fouling more.

You can always tell when a person is trying to comment on a game they didn't go to. Imagine that!

no im not in high school.... and yes i was at the game and everyone including teachers were yelling at the refs calls... So dragon if you werent there you dont have a clue.... Let mr heely chime in on the refs calling. I bet he will say how terrible it was. But didnt you notice how i said Overton out played Millington so i wasnt blaming the loss due to the refs calling... I said it helped Overton out.

i forgot to add that even coach gat stated a remark about the foul calls in the commercial appeal... Overtons 40 free throws to Millingtons 19.... Again Im Not Stating That Mill Lost Due To The Lopsided Foul Calls... They Didnt Play There Best Ball which happens to all teams.

Millingtonfan2007, I didn't get to your game because i had to attend the Bartlett vs Central game , But i did hear Millington had 3 players have 3 fouls in the first half and when Overton has 28 free throws in the 4th quarter. Why did one of your players get a technical for sitting on the bench when she got a foul called?

So.... using your logic, Millington should have played Central. If a team loses to the Regional Runner Up do they stand a better chance against the Regional Champions? I don't think so. Millington's Region is the weakest in the area so they've had excellent positioning to come even this far. Millington is a great team, and it's beneath the team to call for an overhaul of the system because they lost to a worthy opponent.

Sounds like sour grapes to me. Millington beat Barlett - Central beat Overton ,you get a second chance to go to the dance. You win you move on. Millington and Bartlett had a great season and a lot to be thankful for. Move on and support Memphis Teams Go Central, Go Overton we are proud of you bring back some Hardware we like Gold.
