Any score on the championship game ?

Marion once again proved to be the class of the district!! Congrats to the indians on a fine turnaround season. You guys have turned around the program quickly and have nothing to hang your heads about. Being second means that you are still playing baseball next week, which a lot of teams can't say. Both teams had their aces on the moung tonight and Seq had a chance to break it open early but as I was talking to coach Bartley he was talking about never bunting your 3rd batter, especially with no outs and the possibility of a big inning. I thought that and the diving try out in right field was big as marion ended up with a runner on third and a big run, but you cant blame the kid for trying to make the diving grab ...................if he could have made the catch, that may have changed the game. The warriors also made some good defensive plays to keep the indians from getting going. Congrats to both teams and good luck to both in the region next week. Hope both teams win so that we can do it again on wednesday!!!!

How about Caden's GREAT diving catch to end the 5th inning!! That was HUGE since the game was 2-0 and Sequatchie had a man on 1st and 2nd. Then to beat that he comes up to bat and hits an inside the park homerun!! GREAT JOB CADEN!!

Joe Muir made a a nice over the shoulder catch also in the 5th inning!

CONGRATULATIONS ON THE WIN WARRIORS!!

    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
