southrutherford
Ryan and Patrick both will probably get some time this season. Coach Moore does an excellent job- he and Coach Pip gets a lot out of the boys but they also put alot into the program. We are returning 6 out of 9 players who started the last few games last year. We lost our catcher, CF and 2nd baseman. Cameron Boyett (Soph) will take over the C position, Tyler Davenport will play CF (all district Sr.) and will probably rotate players thru the 2nd position depending on who is pitching. Other players expected to make an impact will be Matt Warner (DH Soph), Kevin Brown (1st Sr) and Bryan Smith (all district SS and RHP, Soph). I AM SURE THAT EAGLEVILLE IS LIKE MTCS , A BUSY SCHEDULE THIS WEEK COMING UP. DID YOU ALL PLAY LAST NGHT ,IF SO HOW DID YOU DO?
southrutherford
We played Cornersville last night, got beat 8 to 3. They out hit us no doubt, they probably had 13 or 14 hits to our 5 or 6. I'm pretty sure their #2 started and their #1 finished. We also left the bases loaded twice, that never helps.
Braves10
Cornersville's number 3 started and number 1 finished. Eagleville would have only scored 1 run but Cornersville was experiencing with other pitchin between the starter and the guy who finished. Cornersville falt out killed Eaglevilles pitching. They had 2 homeruns.
southrutherford
Your baseball program is without a doubt better than your spelling program. Our #3 did struggle and left several up in the zone. We did not pitch our 1, 2 or 4. May have been a different game on a field with a backstop deeper than four feet and an outfield deeper than 285'. You cant sit here and say yall loss bacause of the backstop. Yalls baserunning just sucks. And we come to yalls field during school and play I want everyone at your school there to watch yall lose. There was only one homerun that would not have went out anywhere else but the other one that landed on the softball field would have went out anywhere. So quit trying to blame the loss on our field and take it like a man. And when we play yall again pitch your best guy so you cant make any excuses about losing. That dude that pitched for eagleville had to have been yalls 1 or 2. And if yal didnt give up 15 hits and strike out 16 times then it might have been a closer game. I agree with braves10 completely. Dont make up dumb excuses. Cornersville won that game easily.
CoffeeBreak
District 9-A Games this week: Moore County vs. MTCS Huntland vs. Eagleville Community vs. Cascade Don't think Boyd or Forrest play District games this week. Who do you pick in the Monday/Tuesday match-ups? Moore County and Huntland are new to the district. Moore County beat Lookout Valley this week-end which may mean they are fairly strong. Cascade is still king-of-the-hill until someone knocks 'em off.

CoffeeBreak
District 9-A Games this week: Moore County vs. MTCS Moore County wins 3-1. The Raiders got a couple of early runs on some shaky defense. MTCS squandered bases loaded with one out in the 2nd and 3rd. Moore Cnty counters with their SS taking the mound in the 4th and he 1-hit MTCS (along with 5 K) the last four innings. Moore Cnty added an insurance run in the top frame of the 7th on 2 hits. The Cougars never threatened in the bottom of the 7th. Oh... Eagleville and Cascade were in the house so I assume their games were moved to Tuesday and Wednesday (versus Huntland and Community, respectively) due to soggy field conditions. I will not be able to make the MTCS-Moore Cnty game this afternoon (a little thing called WORK gets in the way) so someone else will have to summarize the results and inform the masses.
