Don't forget about the Chattanooga teams. Grace Academy lost some good players but still has some good ones back and CSAS is looking going to be very good next year (again). One change that will help CSAS is that they have moved to District 5-A with Grace for the regular season. Look for both of these teams to make a strong run to the Boro!

u know they have already beaten every1 in there district besides loretto already this summer. only team to come close to beatin em is wayne and they lost by 6

 

 

 

I know that S'town beat you - I know, I know Perry Co had to wear goggles. That should not have hurt you unless you have to look at the ball while you dribble.

 

Wayne Co had your number last year and they have most of their key players back as well

 

I know that C'wood lost alot - but on the nights when Gobble goes off they will be tough to beat as well.

 

Look you guys ( Perry ) are having a good summer, but wins or losses in June will not make any difference come Feb and March. Right now teams should play to get better, develop younger kids- not worry about how many games you are winning and who you are beating.

 

Don't get me wrong, Perry is a good team and I really enjoyed watching them play last season - its way too early to talk about winning state or going undefeated in the district.

I changed my mind after I saw what they had returning. I did say that they'd be 3rd and now I'm saying they'll contend for #1 in 14A. I thought Robertson was a Senior last year. I didn't realize the talent they had returning. Russell Avery will be a big loss, but Robertson can definately fill his spot on the floor. Rafeal Tyler is extremely good as well as Leron Garret being a very solid player. I'm not sure if Lake Co. will win state or not, but I think them and Humboldt will be the best from the West next year unless Middleton comes up with something down there.

 

As for Perry Co., I saw them last year. If I remember correctly they return mostly everyone from last years team. I saw them play in the Martin tournament over the Christmas break against a decent Middleton team and lose by nearly 50 points. I do know they had a kid that could shoot the lights out on that team, but I'm not so sure they can be a state champion caliber team unless they have gotten 10 times better from last year. I highly doubt you beat Westview without Westview missing someone.

 

I didn't go to Martin for the team camp. I watched most of the girls team camp that Gibson Co. was hosting.

 

 

 

I was just wondering..I was hoping maybe you had actually seen them play and was better than you maybe thought they'd be..lLike most posters have said..many players may be out on their respective teams doing things in football..other things going on ..Hockett was a starter most of the year last year but seems like nobody has seen him playing yet..Don't know if it's grades..maybe working..may not be planning on playing..Too early to tell..I know Coach Whitby is high on sophomore to be Caleb Bledsoe..He looks to be around 6'4 this year or close..

After reading all of this about Perry County yes they are very much improved from the last few years and they are actually still young. Can they win the state championship right now in June no they aren't good enough yet however if they continue to work hard and keep improving like they have since the end of the season who knows they could make a deep run in the tournaments.

Chattanooga Grace will be very athletic this year and should make a deep run in the postseason. Herman and Church return and you will be hearing the name corey nelson a lot this year.

Maybe the coach thinks he has some great shooters but they've been passing too much and not taking a good shot..Doesn't want then passing as much..!

I didn't see lake county play perry co. but if it was friday they played the first game against mcnairy central. Was up the whole game with a roster that was short. I know that raphel and ricky had some injurys that they were dealing with. Ricky knee was bothering him after the Mcnairy game and raphel ankel was hurt. Lake County didn't even carry it's full lineup to the camp. I know that a few players were not in attendence. The players that were there were: Ricky, Raphel, Caleb, Ron, Patrick, S. Swift, Devonte, Calius, and Benard. Ricky has really improved. If he can devolpe a jump shot and some more handles he is a Springer Clone. Except he is quicker.

So Hockett is playing..Who do you think will be the starters..Everyone knows Coach may play 9 dirrenent lineups but as fas ar you personally and in talent..Would it be Patrick Robertson..Rafael Tyler.. Leron Garrett..Caleb Bledsoe..Calius Hockett or do you have Ricky or the Swift kid taking one of their spots..Is cris Rogers not playing?It really doesn't matter..I'm sure all of them will start at one time or another..
