With pads going on monday, what are some thoughts and predicitions for the upcoming year. Who will be the tough games for the Indians and do you think they will finally advance in the playoffs? Lets start talking about some football. Hope to come over the Mountain and make a few games.
I think if everyone stays healthy they should win or be in every game with a chance to win. I think the District winner will come out of the Notre Dame/Sequatchie game as for as the other tough non district games will be the season opener against Chattanooga Central (@ Finley Stadium), @ Marion County and @ McMinn Central.

I think think the Indians should win the district and anything less than (7-3) overall would be a disappointing season. I say all of this before seeing them in any scrimmage but I think that's the kind of expectations the team has as well the fans and community for this season.

Sequatchie has a pretty tough schedule, I think they could go 5-5 0r better and still have a good season. Alot of toss ups on their schedule. Good luck to the Indians.

That's a bold prediction sequatchie. It is never a disappointing year when the kids play to their ability and play fundamentally sound every snap. I expect to win every time we set foot on the field but this years schedule is tougher top to bottom than last year. You underestimate teams like signal mountain. They will be very tough. The district will be competitive. Bold predictions lead to people losing jobs. I know what the Indians are capable of doing but they must stay healthy and play together as a team. Thanks for the added expectations though. Maybe we won't disappoint you and all the indian faithful! :flower:

    • Sorry Barn. I wasn’t specific enough. It seems I’m always protecting the principal at 825. My interactions with her have been extremely positive, but very limited. With all the other stories being told, I’m confident there are other sides I am not aware of. Regardless, there are lots of decent people earning good checks up there. Maybe too good, which explains why no one is willing to speak up. My beef is with the poor communication among the athletic programs and with the administration. Seven years ago the poor communication led to my son missing graduation due to a sporting event that was planned months before. I chalked it up to the system being totally shocked that the baseball team made it out of their district, and our then AD was a football coach. Maybe they were surprised and did not plan appropriately. That was more palatable than they just didn’t give a crap. Déjà vu, seven years later, same thing. Different administration, but same result.  Maybe in seven more years, it will actually be “about the kids”. They should do better.
