Although everything may not be completely finished by Aug. 21, it appears the Wildcats will indeed host Blackman that evening at the new Wilkins Stadium.

And yes the Oct. 23 game has officially been moved to the 22nd. This will be the farthest from Nashville that the Captain D's Thursday Night game has ever been. Should be exciting.

Watched the 'Cats practice yesterday and they were working hard in the heat. One surprise could be the secondary, where it looks like we have some young men that can defend the pass.

Tullahoma will indeed NOT host Blackman Aug. 21. The first game will be in Murfreesboro. It was originally slated for Tullahoma, but the game WILL BE moved to Blackman. Probably the best move, gives a few extra weeks to make sure everything is ready for sure at the new stadium. Look forward to seeing it.

A new stadium? As an FC Rebel I had fun wearing my hard hat last year, while sitting on the visitors side. Seriosuly though, its good to know that project will be complete. THS is a good school and football program. Walking into a stadium in that poor of shape was really a shock. I hope all turns out well, and for this year, win ALL your home games!

The Tullahoma Board of Education officially announced on Thursday that the season opener against Blackman, originally scheduled for the new Wilkins Stadium, has been moved to Blackman. Evidently the biggest issue was the field. The folks that laid the field advised strongly against playing on it in August because of the rain and cool weather we have been having. The field needed dry weather and heat for the roots to catch and that isn't happening. Playing on it at this point would seriously impact the field for the rest of the season.

The new stadium is really starting to take shape and the movement of this game shouldn't be viewed as a major setback or problem. Would we have liked to open at home on the 21st? Sure. However, this means that now the opening of the new stadium will come in Week 4 when Lincoln Co. visits Tullahoma. That should be a tremendous atmosphere.
