BGA v. Giles Co. scrimmage

I am a BGA parent and was at the scrimmage. The teams played for about 2 hours going down to third string. They took a long break for dinner and came back and scrimmaged another hour with just the first teams. Giles County had their way with BGA in the first scrimmage....28-0 or something like that. The second scrimmage was a 7-7 tie. Pictures of the scrimmage can be seen at www.bgapix.com. Giles looks to have the team to win it all this year with a great QB and fast, aggressive defense. Good luck.

Good workout for both teams. BGA has a good atmosphere going on the sidelines. Playing hard as a team and cheering each other on. BGA has a tough schedule but I see them getting better as they go along. Giles needs to play as hard on the first snap as the last and every snap in between. If they jell as a team, should be an interesting year. Giles speed was the difference in the scrimmage but BGA matched up well. On defense, Giles is aggressive. I see the players pumping each other up. Offense, a ways to go yet. You cannot be a machine if you can't hear the motor running. Crank it up a notch O.

How did the Watson kid look at WR for Giles?

Did he have many drops? I know last year he had a problem with dropping really easy catches.

    • If y’all lose to Farragut something awful has happened.
    • Get him to Bearden ASAP! Or anywhere, Karns hs is in rough shape, probably not getting out of it anytime soon.
    • I'm not a Powell grad.  I am a Bearden grad.   My son and daughter are Powell grads.   I did radio play by play for Powell, my last year was 2013. I also did radio play by play for South Doyle, and my last gig was at Maryville before I retired.   My oldest grandson plays in the Karns Middle program, so I see more Karns games than I do Powell these days.  I've been to 3 Powell games since 2013.   I don't have any ties to Powell, haven't since 2013.   No "y'all" there.    And the kid you are talking about does have a very good arm, but he's not the QB that Deuce Rogers is.  Rogers is a legit dual threat guy.  The younger kid now at Clinton, or about to be at Clinton, isn't the dual threat that Rogers is.
    • No sir. I watched it specifically and it was very dirty. He cleated the boy on purpose. Apparently, it’s an issue in football as well from what several schools have said. That said, looking forward to a good game 3. ER hit it well in game 2.
    • He is the transfer. 5star spoke on him in their new qb1 series. Didn’t list em as a transfer but I knew the name
