East Tennessee Prep Girls Elite 80 fall league

The East Tennessee Prep Girls Elite 80 will be a fall basketball league that will bring together 80 of the most talented girls high school players for weekly competition. The league will consist of 8 teams playing a 7 week schedule followed by a single elimination seeded tournament on the final weekend! In attendance will be local D2, D3, Junior College, and NAIA coaches. The days of play are August 30; September 6, 13, 20, 27; October 11, 18; the single elimination tournament will be played October 24th and 25th. This is a great way to prepare for the upcoming season against the best available competition and in front of college coaches! Participating players will be profiled and their playing profile will be forwarded to the region's college coaches as well as posted online. We have college coaches from 4 states committed to attend. 16 college coaches from 5 states committed to attend and scout the event. Players from 31 east Tennessee high schools are represented in the league. We have room for 2 additional players.

Receiving such great response we are considering expanding to 14, 8-player teams.

Trotter Coach, I agree...It was absolutely a great experience! It is time to change hats...but, Hat's off to Don Brown and all those that helped out with the Elite 80 league. Thanks again!

Congratulations to Brianna Kelley, of Greeneville HS, for signing with King College! Bri is fully recovered from a torn ACL in December! She becomes the second player to receive a full scholarship after playing in the East Tennessee Prep Girls Elite 80!

Now filling the last few remaining spots in the 2nd Annual East TN Prep Girls Elite 80 Fall League. Last season saw 19 coaches from 4 states scout the event for players. 7 girls from last season's league signed scholarships as a direct result of being seen in the league! I saw a few games last year and was really not impressed. There are college coaches in attendance, but many of them will attend maybe one particular date and will not be there for the rest of the league. Usually, there were 2-3 college coaches in the gym at any one time. The competition is ok, but most of the better players in Knoxville play in the league at Catholic.
