EastAdvocate
Interested in hearing how things are shaping up for this season, scrimmage results, jamboree etc. East is going into their third year of competition with new coaches and a new region....... I would hope that some excitement around the program would be building. We all know that the east faithful (myself included) are able to put together a negative thread, let see if we can get something positive going and get behind the coaches and players. How are things going at east? Whats the good word????
YELLOWJACKETinMOTION
I hope they do well this year, My cousin plays for them. I know that the new Head Coach is a nice guy, his assistants are Phillips- Last year Offensive cor.???? , New coach , Coach Spatts, my cousin really likes him, not sure of his football resume , Another coach named Manor, I think he is from Centerville, and another newest addition coach Copley he is from the Jr. Pro league in East what i have been told. As far as the game ??????? Dont want to be negative ,but he said it looks like the same team, no new looks, but the kids are happy I guess. I think they have 2 scrimmages this week. I am Graduated now and dont leave until November, so i will be at Fairview and East games as much as possible.
QbackDback24
The team is upbeat, we will have quite a few seniors playing this year that have been starters for the last 2 years, the Quarterback is throwing much better this year, and his leadership is showing. Look for a much better year for the Eagles.
smashface
I was at the Scrimmage against Houston County, they looked ok, I dont think the Coach looked at any tapes from last year, still some key changes need to be made, to gain positive yardage,# 22 needs to get the ball, #24 just dont have it........sorry, he should be blocking for #22. I hated to see Coach Jones go, but the new Coach seems like a nice guy, I think he should of cleaned house though. I looks like the same team as last year, All we can do is keep hoping for the best, we shall see how it unfolds.
hsffan
Any score? How many did the dress out this year. How many seniors starting?
easteaglebaseball
I would estimate about 13-15 Seniors, they looked ok Vs. Zion, Defense looked a little confused, and fireing in off the line was almost non existant. Offense looked about to be expected with the spread, they should be ok if they close out the little mistakes.
headfake4u
Yes they will have plenty of Seniors, the spread system is not easy to learn, I predict a suprising season for the new Coach. The Seniors (most) have been starters since sophmore year so that will make a difference when the season gets rolling. Word is, this new Coach does seem to be pretty smart and willing to do what it takes to win., it may take a few games to get rolling, but the group he has should win some games this year. easteaglebaseball
Yes it felt good.. Stewart county pounded East pretty bad last year and they were expecting to do it again this year from the talk and smack I heard from some parents. East pulled it out. Go East
