INDY vs. MBA predictions?

All i know is that was a huge game for INDY and that game is turning their season around after 2 losses to 2 really tough opponents. and i predict indy to finish 2nd in the district after preseason supposed to finish like 5th i think.

if MBA QB didnt get hurt i think the game would have been different

 

OHHHHH I YARE. Nope, sorry but it wouldn't have been different at all. Its not even like they could get their passing game anywhere in the first place. Every-time he dropped back in the pocket every man was covered down field. Nothing the QB could have done. INDY also demolished the run for the most part. My only concern is special teams but I was reassured when LANDON FOSTER (#14) kicked the field goal to win it. He's a sophomore. I would like to have seen MBA's missed extra point on Sportscenter's Not Top 10 Plays of the Week. Looks like MBA needs a clutch kicker and he definitely wasn't there last night.

 

Maybe next year MBA.

 

fonzi i like ur school spirit but cmon that MBA QB that was hurt completed 28 of 47 passes for 293 yards and four touchdowns for the season. INDY coaches saw the 2nd half tapes of the Ensworth game and planned well knowing that the backup QB couldnt throw the ball at all. It was like last year, I spoke to coach rector and he told me INDY was easy to defends last year becasue they focused on closing in on heckman- they knew indy didnt have a running back that could hurt them....Anyways that is football he MBA QB was hurt and you play on- a win is a win no matter whom is the QB

Certainly MBA is a better team with Colbert at quarterback. I'm assuming that East was a good Freshman QB last year, and that he's talented. However, through preseason and the first 2 1/2 games, Colbert got the snaps because he had limited experience. So any argument that MBA is not a different team since Colbert's injury is awfully weak.

 

However...the fact of the matter is that MBA scored 20 points. That should be sufficient to win any game. Independence made plays when they had to, and MBA's defense was unable to make stops when they were essential. This has been a theme with MBA this season: they simply don't have a very good defensive line right now. All the credit to Indepndence for an impressive drive and kick when it counted. Simply put, they played a better game, and deserved the win.

 

Not sure what the problem with MBA's kicking game is; this is the second PAT they've missed. If you've watched Fletcher since he was a sophomore, this situation makes no sense.
