This should be the Roane Co game of the year. I'm not going to try and pick this one just planing on going to Rockwood and watching a great game

This is a winnable game.....but i don't see us beating Kingston by 21.......I'll hold off on a prediction....iv'e been so wrong so far this season anyway......but we don't really know who will be at QB yet

They are both on a roll going into Friday nights contest, but I don't believe the Jackets will be able to stumble the Tigers. I am going with Rockwood in a close one decided in the 4th quarter. I ain't making a score prediction, but I expect a GREAT game. I sure do hope so, because I am taking off work to make it to this one.

I heard that the two quarterbacks suspension was over and that the Tigers will have there #1 qb back in. It will help them on defense too because the harness kid(#1 qb) is a big help on defense too.

Prior to '77.....I'm not sure for how many years.....Rockwood was class 1a under the very old class 1a-2a 3a system and didn't play Kingston for several years......Rockwood won the '76 class 1a state championship and moved up to 2a in'77.....in '77 Rockwood lost to Maryville in (i think) the quarter-finals of the playoffs.....(i think)Maryville went on to win the 2a state championship......look....i'm doing this from memory and the '70's are a bit fuzzy .....so if i'm wrong about the quarter-finals or Maryville winning it all.....don't hold it against me

Harness and Webster were both starters on defense......with Harness and Jolley on the sidelines,coach Webb couldn't risk putting Webster on the field on D......after the game Friday Webster was more excited about getting to play some D than he was disappointed about not being the QB.....kid has a great "team" attitude

Kingston playing in 2 very close games and finding a way to win at the end

 

Rockwood playing in 2 blowouts with their 3rd string QB

 

I would think this year is a good opportunity for Rockwood, haven't beaten Kingston since 2004, and Rockwood is at home

 

Although I might have to give the edge to Kingston in a close game.....because of the success they have had in the past 2 weeks

 

But, if Rockwood plays very well like they have been.......it may not be close at all.

Man, those tigers are on a roll. They seem to be playing good football right now shutting 2 teams out and not allowing any points. However, Kingston has always been tough for Rockwood. I'm going out on a limb and giving my prediction early...

Kingston always starts out slow, but look for the jackets to finally put an entire game together and win this one in an exciting match-up.
