Giles vs. Shelbyville

I'm tired of arguing with everyone about last weeks game so lets argue about this one

What do you all think?

Should be another good one. From what I have read and heard, Shelbyville has a great defense. Their attitude is positive and they are looking for big things this season. They already have shown they can win a close one in beating FC last week. It will be interesting to see the response of our kids this week. We improved tremendously from week 0 to week 1 but I did not see the improvement form week 1 to week 2. I believe we can judge the direction we are heading based on their preparation and work ethic this week. Its time to bring it up another level. Giles at the wire by 7. Go Cats!!!!

I don't know too much about the Shelbyville program. If they are as good as thier records show then it should be a good game. I know we beat Franklin County in the preseason, and they are a decent ball club.

 

I'll give my prediction later in the week but I agree it'll be a close one!

Still a rookie at this stuff. Last time we played Shelbyville I think I was playing(time line). No prediction either. We finally got to work on the kick off return so maybe this week we can work on punt return.

Shelbyville has a very fast team and they are very athletic...should be a great game but another win for giles.... whether yall chose to believe it or not i have faith in giles and i believe they will take this district

Do you have any stats from the pre season game with Giles and Franklin County. How did Giles defense do against their running back. We were told from the thread last week that no one had stoped that kid. We are 3&0 but have not really played anyone but FC and should have lost that game. We have 3 kids whom can run the 40 in a 4.5. Smyth,Klages,Stewert. Speed is what has us 3&0. This will be a dog fight and a good game that should help both programs get better. I will give my predictions later in the week.

Shelbyville is a team that could win this game. Barring an upset down the road,this could be the last test for GC. Whoops........ did I say that? Yep. Marshall Co. seems to be in the tank.Spring Hill already

taken care of. None of the smaller schools can compete with GC unless Hickman is better than I think.

Wait a minute...... Page...........this will be an interesting game.Lots of history the last few years.

I feel that the fact Marshall County is down doesn't matter when these two teams play. Big rivalry games always excite players and the tigers will come out to play. Giles should get that win though.

 

Other than that game is should be an easy road to the playoffs after Shelbyville.

 

Don't forget they might play Spring Hill in a BIG playoff game if both teams make it that far. So Spring Hill is still a factor in the state championship race.
