Going back to what old school said... being cocky is no excuse for missing so many tackles.. What about

letting someone else try those tackles, I bet there are several on the sidelines that could prove their selves if given a chance. There were very few if any substitutions the first 3 quarters. By the 4th it was too late.

At the end og the Coalfield game linebacker #51 was flagged for charging with malicious intent the quarterback as he was taking a knee to end the game. Was he ejected by the refs. If so he will be missed during this rivalry game with OS.

#51 was not ejected, he was taken out by his coach for making a mistake.

dont know much about coalfield this year but i do know that if some necissary(spelling) adjustments on defense are ignored like they were last week this could be a long game for os. because i can almost guarentee coalfield has watched that game tape and plans to try to expose the same weaknesses as grundy co. did. but we'll see....

prediction

os-35

cf-26

Coalfield not been good for the past 3 or 4 years. And I dont see them being that good this year either but all they had to do is beat Sunbright or Oakdale and they make playoffs so they are in. But the days of Coalfield being on top in football all long gone.

they were good enough to beat oz 26 to zip last year

I hope for a good clean game and I think

that several people will be surprised Friday

night! And for all the comments on coalfield

football being down, if you take last year

and look at the kids playing middle school

and little league anyone could tell where

the better programs are located!I have

been lucky over the years to coach kids

that are on both teams,so let's hope for

zero injuries and Go Jackets

Took the words right out of my mouth. This is the same person who said that the only player Coalfield had last year was #14. No doubt the best player on that team, but i also believe she said something about the bad QB play from last year. And Coalfield beat OS 26-0 behind 3 touchdown passes. So, lets just say that catmommy maybe should stick to commenting about girls basketball!! But she may not do that much this year since Kayla Christopher is gone!! HMMM....

    • Wow I haven't been keeping up with softball had no idea.Been keeping up with baseball and we are slowly fading there.I will check it out!!Thx
    • It is what it is. Sorry DFL.
    • One of the biggest loosing teams in Mid-State are the Macon County Tigerettes. I have noticed that the roster is smaller than in the years past. All the senior's have quit. We have a great group of Jr High players coming up. I sure hope they don't loose them, like they have lost so many others this year. With this young group of girls coming up, a weaker district, they should have no problem going to State.
    • It was updated this season, because I did it.  Linder is the school's all-time leading rusher at 5,156 yards with 2,436 of those coming in 2014.
    • Oh, I’m sure you did. Maybe you heard just a rumor, but considering we have a football practice field and a soccer field that’s frequently used for lacrosse games and practices, I highly doubt it. Let me change that. I know for a fact that didn’t happen.   Glad you finally stopped attacking a bunch of high school students, but still obsessed with the coaching staff for some unknown reason, even though you could name more than three (at most) coaches without looking it up. But now come up with something else.
