Verb58
In a game that was loaded with drama, Brentwood found out that there is a good football team residing in Gallatin. Gallatin takes it on the chin with a late TD with 35 sec. remaining for Brentwood to go back on top 19-14. Both teams showed that they have very good Defenses. I hate the Green Wave lost but I am very proud of how they hung there with a 6-A power team. The offenses both had their moments to shine as well. 41 of Brentwood is nothing short of a beast, he ran at will all night big runs when needed were delivered by him. Liked the way the goal line D of Gallatin stalled another drive this week on 4th and inches from the goal. Getting better every week is the key to the season and that is what I see the Green Wave has been improving all season on both side of the ball. lbhiii
Menu from the Brentwood Bruin Tailgate 1. Smoked Ribs 2. Scrumptious Peanut Bars 3. A really big pot of Strong High Test Coffee! Go Bruins - Great Win. Thanks for the hospitality Gallatin!
GWAVE1
I was very pleased with the Wave's effort. Brentwood is a very good team and I was surprised that we played as well as we did. The Coffey kid is a really good back for them. Not sure if we will see another of his caliber all year. Gallatin did have a very nice drive before the half almost exclusively via the air. The goalline stand was great in the second half and so was the go ahead drive. I really thought that Crawford had made a bad decision to punt with 3 plus minutes left in the game and down by one but Brentwood made that long catch and set them up for a fieldgoal no less the winning touchdown. Gallatin is getting better and hopefully the Wave can build on this for the rest of the season.
