LA Wins 35 34 in OT. First off, congrats to White County, as one can tell that they are making steps in the right direction. Congrats to LA on a tough game where the offense dug deep and made huge plays and the defense made stops when needed. The only freakin thing I have to complain about was the $5 to park? It is funding that field house they are building. Look, I am not for that stupid thing, and am not paying for it. Dude would not even thank us for paying! LA fans are the only ones who payed I might add. Sponsors for White County include, Sonic, Sonic, and the visiting teams! That's ridiculous!

Looks like you are paying for it. :thumb: Congrats to LA for another win. Maynord coached at WC too.

I will agree with King here. Paying for parking for a high school game is pretty tacky. Especially since they had raised close to $20k at their fund raiser before the season started. Maybe LA and the rest of the the teams that have played at Sparta should return the favor next season. That way the other programs can get new field houses too.

The $5 dollar parking was a little ridiculous but white county does have one of the nicest football facilities we visit as far as the field and the stands nice setting. As for the game big shout to Brannon McCoin and John Dylan Roberts especially the AP shove near the goalline for McCoin. We play to much to our competition seems we have to play a good team to get up that cant continue or were gonna get bit. Seems the little yellow things were flyin out of the pockets last night love to see those numbers probably a little lopsided but great win wildcats fun to watch but not so good for the heart keep up the winning ways HOG-EYE!

As CC stated on the broadcast, Livingston-Sparta has always kind of been a rivalrey game. So any win is a good win. But being realistic about it is Livingston beat a terrible football team in OT. Playing to the competition? What good teams have they played besides Smith Co.? And how good is Smith Co.? 4-1 is a good start and with Cannon coming up I expect that to be 5-1, but the teams they have beat are not really to good.

Not that I told you so but, I believe I said wait till we get back in this Region were we will be more competitive. Playing teams with about the same talent level, LA should compete with any of these teams. Earlier I said that the Cats can play with any of the teams on their schedule but Smith Co. and Anderson Co. I was wrong about Smith Co. we actually had chances to win that game first time in a while. But I think Anderson Co. will be a hard game for us 2 win but I could be wrong.

It looks as if Dekalb will be a hard game as well but we will cross that bridge when we get there. Congrats to the Cats keep it going go down and smack Cannon Co. around for a big district win.

Also want to extend a shout out to Mr. Jake Huitt on his play this season especially friday night.

I totally agree with all you wrote there RC!

Mr. Huitt should make Player of the Week with 3 Int's-1 TD-and 5 extra points!

    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
    • An FYI: To see how an opponent has done against another opponent since 2001- go to the game by clicking on one of the teams. Click the G beside the game. For example, Milan: The info will show you the previous matchups and other info.
    • All these college signees went yo other schools for 3 years, were getting college offers then transferred to Bearden. It’s not like this staff did much to develop them.    The BBall coaches son and the Seymour transfer were some of the most talented QBs in the region, and you guys developed them into QBs who might complete one pass a game.
