Brentwood Academy vs Baylor

This should be a great game. BA played Ensworth very tough last week in a losing battle. But BA is always a very good sound football team. Baylor is coming off a convincing win over McCallie and is 5-1 on the year. If BGA was not playing the same night...I would like to see this game because it should be a good one. Predictions and thoughts?

Baylor should be riding high after a great win last week. Sounds like BA lost a close, hard fought game with Ensworth. Since the Red Raiders have to travel to BA obviously this gives BA the edge with not traveling and playing at home. However, I think Baylor will win in a great game.

This sounds like a very strong Baylor team. With the exception of playing poorly at MBA...this team has alot of talent. BA played Ensworth very strong and must have a great defense to hold Ensworth to just 15 points. I think the home team always has the advantage so I will go with BA because of that...if it was at Baylor I would go with them. Should be an outstanding game.

This will be a tough game for both teams I believe. Don't see it as being anything but a close game. But I believe that Baylor will come out on top and beat BA at their place....I will be making the trip from Chattanooga and hope for good weather. Go Baylor!

When BGA played Baylor it was not really even much of a game. Baylor was very tough on offense and defense and pretty much beat us soundly. They also laid it on McCallie last week and beat them soundly. I think the MBA game for Baylor was just a sloppy game where they shoot themselves in the foot with turnovers that led to MBA points and kept Baylor from scoring. BA has not had a typical BA year but they are still a very good football team for sure. Last week had to be a heartbreaker for BA coming so close against Ensworth. But Potter will have them ready this week as he will not want to lose to a team he knows so well in Baylor.

This one is hard to predict so I think Baylor will pull it out in a close one.

Wow this has been an eye opening topic board. I would have never picked Baylor to beat BA, but it sounds like an educated and mostly unbiased majority predicts them winning.

My question is if Baylor is favored in this game, would they have a good chance against Ensworth in couple weeks considering the Ensworth vs BA game?

    • Yeah I am on board and plan on coming down from the Ridge for some home games, great Friday night atmosphere there.  I'm really hoping SC can get them back going and have some success for those fans and community.
    • Yep I was field level on the scoreboard end throwing ball with Benny when we had that brief lead. Everybody got very excited but it was short lived as Murvil regrouped and went into machine mode. But yeah,  that hit sounded like the crack of a black powder rifle being fire.  I believe Dozier took one like that as a Soph up at Greeneville after on olay block.
    • Ole Benny boy lol. I forgot about Harder. He was tough as crap. He graduated in ‘09. I went to the OR/Maryville game that year (great game, btw) and he collided with Jacob West (I think was his name) and you could hear it clearly at the top of the visitor bleachers. Man, it was a stick. He could lay some wood son. All those guys were tough, Elliott included.
    • They do have good community support for sure and did when I coached under Z for 4 years. (I was on that staff that turned them around a little from winning 1 game a year to actually being competitive).  Great Kids and Great Community over there.  They have done some good things with the facilities from when i coached too.
    • I personally will not mind that one bit.  It seems like a really strange fit to me from the git go.
