With Terrell at QB nobody in 1A can come close to beating the pirates...That is my opinion...They are just way to strong and having a great defense makes their team even better......but you still have to go out and play the games....

I agree, its really a joke that south pitt has moved to #3, they r def #1 and nobody will come close to them this year, they will mercy rule everyone else they play and yes including n the title game.

I think the Union City players kind of laugh when they see Wayne County up there at #2 and unbeaten after the beating they gave WC in that scrimmage this past summer....

 

But.......UC blew big leads vs Huntingdon and at T.C.A so they are probably where they should be...

 

In 4A I would love to see Crockett Co and Liberty play....Don't you know Tennessee High in 5A is glad Maryville is in 6A now ??...

Well I dont think it was a beating but they did win and we are #2 so every one needs to strap up cause were comming!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Let me say this.....Everyone the post and reads these threads consistantly knows the respect that the TC and SP programs and fans have for each other. I've met a few and really enjoyed what little interaction that we've had, but some of you need to get a grip. I remember the same type "smack talk" last year. How'd that work out for you? Now do I think you are head and shoulders above everyone else athleticly... absolutely!! But what happens if Terrell gets hurt and is out for the rest of the year? Or #50, #21, #11, #15, #24(?)? It's ok to feel the way some of you do, but when you broadcast like you have, it makes your program look like..... Now I haven't seen JB play a single down this year, so all I can base them on is what I saw last year and knowing who they have back. LK is better than any running back that you've seen this year, I promise. And since everyone is giving their opinions, here's mine. You (SP) are not as good as you were last year!!! There were a few Srs. on last years team that haven't been replaced. I have every reason to believe you guys will meet up in Cookeville, so why don't you just wait and settle it there. Much respect for both programs!!!

 

First of all, let me say I agree totally with SEVEN. I, along with most, if not all, have the utmost

respect for SP & its' program, & fans. Great folks down there in the valley, always enjoy going there,

playing ball or not. Take this as strictly constructive criticism, which it solely is. There are some

posters that overdo the praise thing. Last year there were about 6 different threads regarding

different players, different aspects of the program, etc., rather that the team concept. Personally,

I believe this hurt the team. Maybe still is. This is not to say there are not individuals that aren't

worthy of praise..even more than others, I think it is detrimental to the team concept.

As for JB, you may or may not meet in Cookeville. Both, or neither could be there. Don't sell JB

short. They played TC as tough as anyone. Lot of them boys are still around. They can & will play

with you.

OP tried to get these posters to tone it down last year, to no avail. Just for what it's worth.

KL agrees with the Grunt here. There are several posters on here from SP that have no respect for other teams. KL thinks that their are several teams in 1A that could pose a challenge for SP. I don't know where PowerP is getting his info. I get tired of reading how we are going to mercy rule everyone we play. It makes our whole fan base look bad when a few posters get on here and say that we are unbeatable.

My goodness you leave the threads for a couple of days and everyone starts getting unruly. To be honest I would rather JB not be ranked #1. SP should be number one IMO but their not who cares its a football poll decided on by sportwriters its not like it going to mean anything come the playoffs. If you doubt what I mean then look up the Robertson County Times and see. Some sportwriters are crazy and have agendas. I like the SP posters they sometimes get me riled but that's part of the fun. I can assure you however that the JB players should we be so fortunate to meet SP, will not be intimidated by orange and black we have seen those colors before.
