Gallatin hosts Lebanon

The game had all the fireworks last year with a come from behind win with 8 seconds left for Gallatin. I look for just as exciting a game this year as well. Gallatin will be coming in off an emotional victory over a very good Beech team. Lebanon comes into the game with a week off. 2 weeks prep on Gallatin for Lebanon. Lebanon will finish the season as the 2 in 6-A in the district playing to get a wildcard in the playoffs. A Gallatin win assures them of a 2 or 3 in the district as well as a 1 or 2 in the 5-A. If Gallatin gets the win they will probably be able to host a playoff game. A victory by Lebanon will go good to get a wildcard. A lot at stake this week for both teams.

Few stats entering this week for Gallatin.

Gallatin's Perry has 932 yards rushing on the season on 100 carries with 9 TD's.

Matthews has 459 yards rushing on 103 carries with 7 TD's. 41-71-463 in passing with 5 TD's.

Box and Fields have been great complimentary backs this season for Gallatin as well. Each with multiple TD's on the season in rushing and receiving.

R U kidding? The wave should CRUSH Lebanon. Lebanon has 2 players that make up their team. Lebanon is worse than their record shows.

Can't overlook anybody at this state in the game. Lebanon is a decent team that can definitely beat you if you don't prepare and get ready. The Blue Devils have a little runningback that has done some damage this year and could put some pressure on the Wave's defense.

This is a long series between these two schools. Over 60+ games worth.

This game won't be close. Lebanon called it quits against Beech and will just go through the motions again this Friday night. Still hopeful they can beat Station Camp week 10 and finish 5-5 but even that is looking doubtful at this point.

MJPride is right Lebanon is much worse their 4-4 record indicates. Consider this: 4 wins over Wilson Central, Cookeville, Portland, & Glencliff - Avg. margin of victory is 7.50 points. 4 losses to Rossview, Hendersonville, Mt. Juliet, & Beech - Avg. margin of defeat is 28.25 points.

Gallatin will have no trouble this week.

GO GREENWAVE !!!!!!!!!! and nice game at Beech and whoever on this board was there how did Beech look fast, strong, undisciplined ........????

Its hard to say how beech looked with the field conditions the way they were but they were undisciplined with several false starts and motion penalties. In my opinion if it were a better field i think Gallatin would have takin it by more

    • Yeah I am on board and plan on coming down from the Ridge for some home games, great Friday night atmosphere there.  I'm really hoping SC can get them back going and have some success for those fans and community.
    • Yep I was field level on the scoreboard end throwing ball with Benny when we had that brief lead. Everybody got very excited but it was short lived as Murvil regrouped and went into machine mode. But yeah,  that hit sounded like the crack of a black powder rifle being fire.  I believe Dozier took one like that as a Soph up at Greeneville after on olay block.
    • Ole Benny boy lol. I forgot about Harder. He was tough as crap. He graduated in ‘09. I went to the OR/Maryville game that year (great game, btw) and he collided with Jacob West (I think was his name) and you could hear it clearly at the top of the visitor bleachers. Man, it was a stick. He could lay some wood son. All those guys were tough, Elliott included.
    • They do have good community support for sure and did when I coached under Z for 4 years. (I was on that staff that turned them around a little from winning 1 game a year to actually being competitive).  Great Kids and Great Community over there.  They have done some good things with the facilities from when i coached too.
    • I personally will not mind that one bit.  It seems like a really strange fit to me from the git go.
