BoardHater71
First off kobedoinwork it looks like you need to learn how to spell. It is CHEATHAM..........not "cheatam". Secondly the kids do get the credit. I give all of the credit in the world to those guys who lace up their sneakers and go out on that floor and play ball for the Cubs. THEY DESERVE IT!!!! The Cubs just this past weekend snapped a 35-GAME LOSING STREAK with a win over Aaron Academy in the White House Holiday Classic. Drew Smart is now the only senior on this year's Cubs team. McKinnley Swett decided to no longer play basketball this past week. I for one with him the best but the program is better off without him..........PLAIN & SIMPLE!!!! Drew is playing great basketball right now. In recent games he has scored 30, 28, & 26 points. He is a definite All-District player. Devin Conner & Thatcher Brinkley are 2 of the best freshmen basketball players to come through CCCHS in a long time. Both of those guys are going to be All-District players someday and both are already impact players for this team. Reece Hunter had a bit of a slow start to the season but right now he is finding his niche and appears to be playing much more like the player who was without a doubt the best freshman in the district last year. Chase Hughes has been a pleasant suprise who is making great strides both on and off the court. He is going to become an outstanding basketball player because he has a great attitude and wants to succeed. When Tanner Owen gets back next week that is a 6'6 270lbs. force that will eat up minutes and boards for the Cubs. Shaun Montgomery & Mitchell Potts are guys who can shoot the basketball and score but they are also hustle guys who can only be described as "war dogs". Both of them have the attitude of going out on the floor and G.A.T.A. whenever the ball is thrown up to start a game. They both play basketball (as well as football) like it's supposed to be played..........period! Come on out and watch the Cubs play tomorrow night at home against Greenbrier because you'll be shocked at how much this team is starting to improve and I can assure anyone right now that this is a team that is about to win some games once istrict play starts after the break. MARK MY WORDS RIGHT NOW!!!!!

kobedoinwork
forgive me for making a minor mistake...your last post had about 20 mistakes in it as well but this isn't english class this is coacht.......anyways T.A. is reppin the red and blue of CW bc he was tired of losing...plain and simple..however i can't see CHEATHAM being a threat in the district..they're too young and when teams get deep into the season inexperience is what kills them...not necessarily that the team they played was better but simply more experienced...anyways lookin forward to the CW vs Cheatham game on Jan. 5th

As for T.A. being at Creek Wood because he was "tired of losing"...............that information is also incorrect. T.A. went to Creek Wood because he had no other alternative. He had been kicked off of the football team at Cheatham and he was also kicked off of the basketball team. He didn't go to CW because "he was tired of losing". Why would he have done that in football when Cheatham finished ahead of Creek Wood and had beaten Creek Wood from 2006-2008? You post is incorrect. T.A. transferred to Creek Wood because he had burned too many bridges at Cheatham and everyone at Cheatham was very glad to see that he has turned the corner and is doing good things both in athletics as well as in the classroom at CWHS. kobedoinwork
predictions for tomorrow's games and how things will go after the two week break??
Ruger
C.W should kill Cheatham by at least 30. Harpeth could get their first win of the year. Stewart will pull out a close game with Waverly.District is really down with the exception of CW.CW is loaded and their guard play is greatly improved.Good luck to all.... kobedoinwork
CW will get a definite win at Cheatham....anxious to see how the SC vs. Wavo game turns out....don't kno who harpeth is playing so i don't have a comment on that one
Ruger
Not real up to date on Harpeth Basketball but noticed they are still winless.Does anyone know whats happened to Harpeth.I know they lost Carruthers but still didnt expect this much of a drop-off. Sycamore may have took their hearts with two early blowouts. They still should beat Cheatham.Does anybody know if Horkins quit?
yenom
Yes, from what I heard Horkins did quit, and yes Harpeth still hasn't won a game yet. They had 2 really good chances last week holding leads late into the 4th quarter and couldn't get it done. They, like Cheatham, are relying heavily on Freshman and Sophomores to win games. Look for both of those teams to get better in the next few years. Looking forward to the next coming weeks, since the District schedule in now in full gear. It's gonna be interesting to see how the district stacks up. Creekwood is the overall favorite to win, but don't sleep on Camden, Waverly, or Montgomery Central, who in my opinion have one of their better teams they've had in the last few years. Good luck to all!
