TraderB
4th Qtr -- 3:21 remaining in game. Time-out by MeEachern, after basket, to cut lead to 15pts. Mel 68 --- McE 53 ------------------------ Melrose is starting to pull away...to much balance for Melrose. McEachern seems to have only 1 or 2 guys that are ballin' Chris Jones 25 pts--Melrose. Golden has around the same, for McE.

TraderB
Final: Memphis Melrose 83 -- McEachern, GA 62 Leading scorers: -------------------- Melrose: C. Jones -- 32pts A. Thomas -- 18 pts (all in 2nd-half) B. Parks and N. Rucker -- 14pts each McEachern: Golden -- 30 or 32pts. ----------------------- Note: Joe Jackson (Guard) of White Station and Adonis Thomas (Forward) of Melrose get all the publicity but, make no mistake about it, PG Chris Jones of Melrose is equally talented! He is the real-deal, a Bona Fide Division-1 level PG!!! As a matter of fact, I strongly suggest that Chris Jones is the KEY to Melrose's success! That was the case all last year. It appears to be the case AGAIN, this year.
TraderB
(7:35pm CST) .....Breaking news, from the Radio Announcers: They said that McEachern has opted NOT to play in the consolation game, tomorrow! --------------------------------------------- They said that New Rochelle, as a result, has been chosen to play in the 3rd-place game. The announcers then discussed McEachern's sour-grapes, classless decision.... They stated that McEachern will likely NEVER be invited to the Arby's classic, EVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!! JodyJoe
I agree 100 percent. Chris Jones is the reason Melrose beats Southwind last year! He's just as good a scorer as Jackson, maybe even better, and may have a better motor defensively. Even though Rivals has him ranked I would say Chris Jones, along with Darrien Gray(#15) from Southwind are the most underrated players in the city. McEachern Follow up: The announcers are now saying that McEachern, GA would not have played in EITHER game tomorrow-- The Championship game OR the Consolaton game...because of some sort of Georgia State rule, relating to the number of games that a team is allowed to play! The announcers then surmised that McEachern's should NEVER have even bothered to ENTER the Arby's tournament....that maybe their coach never figured his squad would never make it (i.e. win) that deep into the tournament. ------------------------------- Halftime: Fayetville, AR 23 -- Greater Atlanta 20 ----------------------------------- Winner plays Melrose for Arby's Classic Championship. Loser plays New Rochelle (according to the announcers), in consolation game. TraderB out!
AAUFAN
These teams may try to lose on purpose to avoid being embarassed by Melrose.
