Springfield @ Henry Co winner playing 10AAA rematch

Gallatin @ Northwest winner

 

Northeast @ Hendersonville winner playing

Clarksville High @ Beech winner

 

Dickson Co @ Hunters Lane winner playing

Rossview @ Brentwood winner

 

The 10AAA rematches and chances of rematches are huge in this bracket.

 

Looking at a Henry vs Northwest rematch and a HUGE NE CHS rematch. But first things first.. good luck the the 10AAA teams in this first round. Sorry to hear about Henry's injury...he was a big part of their team physically and mentally!

 

A big rematch possible in Rossview and DC meeting in the 2nd round! They met in an early season game in which DC took the victory.

 

What are some predictions/views about the first round with 10AAA?

And GW you could be right... on both sides there are some huge possibilities for some big time games in the second round. I'm just in the 10AAA area so thats where my focus was. What happened last night with Gallatin?

You can check my post on the Gallatin/Hendersonville thread. Basically a good ole whipping. Take nothing away from Hendersonville but Gallatin had several distractions outside of football that played a part in it. Once mo went over and sat on the Commando side Gallatin could do nothing right. That was the most lopsided Hville victory that I can remember. Hopefully it will help Gallatin refocus. If you check our scores from this past year you will see what I mean. Gallatin was averaging 28 points a game and giving up only 9 for the year before that game.

NEAlumTN, you left out the Dickson County Cougars from your 10AAA playoff teams. They travel to play the Hunters Lane Warriors.

 

Got it fixed. How did DC fare this week in the mud pits across TN?

 

Wonder how much that can jumble up the brackets...Possibility Henry transfers over to another quadrant?

Ok brackets are back up and these games remain the same. I think henry will have an easy first round as long as they don't overlook springfield. Nw and gallatin look to have the best match-up and looks to be another thriller at the Northwest stadium. Rossview CHS and NE look to have a tougher road in front of them. Dickson will be facing a quick Hunters Lane team but I think they will be able to pull it out as long as they are healthy

The Dickson Co. vs Hunters Lane will NOT even be close; book it!!. Hunters Lane has way to much speed and firepower for the Cougars. Another 6A team coming out of Nashville - Overton; is also not shabby. Big Tez Humphrey is a load and #5 for the Bobcats will be best athlete on the field; a win by Overton will not surprise.

Franklin will have their hands full with them.

      Hmmmmm……doe dee doe doe….i drove the lawnmower down to practice today…….hmmmm…… we got some new faces………. One can run faster than my lawnmower in fifth gear…… a few will be disappointed come November that they jumped ship and went down to that sewage facility……. You can bet the lawnmower on that.

      I don't know what's going on in the town of McMinnville, but I've read this and it's disturbing.  I'm a "player" person, and I want what's best for the player. If a player gets cut off the team because she said the "F word" then good grief. I mean, come on guys. I wish there was a way for the player to transfer to a different program and just play ball. There are a lot of athletes that are stuck because they're in crappy situations regarding their team/coach. This is player just happens to be one them.

      Won't happen. College coaches will back the coach every time and it cost this young lady her senior season. Looks like the player may be right on this one. School let her  go after one season. This stuff happens more than you think.

      “No college is going to offer a scholarship to a player that is kicked off of the team.” For language? I’m not seeing that as a dealbreaker.

      Why did the coach get rehired after she was let go as an assistant by the former Warren County coach and the current AD?? Is that accurate?? I am very familiar with situations like this. Suprised lawsuits haven't happend before. If the coach unfairly let the player go, I think she has a shot because it cost her a scholarship. No college is going to offer a scholarship to a player that is kicked off of the team. Not going to happen. There are bad hires like this a bunch and kids are treated unfairly by coaches that can't coach a lick and have super long ropes somehow. Amazing how some of these coaches get hired and keep their job.
