Any word on the Wilson Central Job

Interviews started yesterday. Not heard a time line on naming a new coach but they want whoever it is to start the first of January. Have heard the DC might be the leading candidate going into interviews. Of course that is only hearsay. Whoever gets the job has a mountain of work to do to right the attitudes of the parents and players at WC. The school has some talent comming back but the last three freshmen teams have 5 wins over three years. This is not a powerhouse school but if the parents and players get behind the program it could grow and become something successful but if the parents jump on the blame train again and have parent meeting with the principal then WC will only ever be low to mid tier team in region 9AAA. IMHO. WIth that and a Buck you can buy yourself a soda.

What happened to Coach Aric? Is he leaving for somewhere else or just quitting? Was he forced to resign (fired)?

Rumor is they interviewed 5 from out of town on Monday, and the one coach that applied from Wilson Central on Tuesday. Any truth to this or anyone else know what is going on.

Scott Smith resigned at Johnson City Science Hill today. He said he had other offers from schools in Middle Tennessee. He also has family in that region.

 

Anybody heard his name thrown out there? Possible hire for WC.

If I were a betting man I would guess Scott Smith will be the next Wilson Central coach. Get ready for the spread.

You are right. The spread never wins games. Just ask White Station, Maryville, Smyrna, Ravenwood, and Hoover. Those programs have never won a game with it.
