When the Sevier Co School Board first instituted this rule, we (SC) were starting the season 2 years ago. As you know MI Kees, district 4AAA plays Mon Wed games, & we already had schedules made & were starting to play. The Board wanted us to forfeit all Wed games, which was half our district games. Don't get me wrong, I am a Christian! You can say every night is Church night. There are so many things that you can do every night of the week with church activities. My son is very active in the youth which meets on Mondays.

The board did allow us to play District only games the past 2 years. This year we don't have that problem.

Some of our team was at the field Sunday, not practicing, but fellowship and giving a hand to some volunteers helping do some work on the field between 1 to 5pm. Our Principal showed up to make sure we were not practicing b/c Superintendant Parton had drove by and saw cars there. We are watched very closely!

There is some allowance made for district and playoff games. Generally not for other tournaments. When league play is a problem as set by the teams in the district, such as SCHS in the past, Sevier County teams are allowed. That situation doesn't happen to often. Practice is usually over in time for church attendance on Wed. No practice on Sundays.

I was at the Jeff Co. and Mo. East games on mon and tues...east has a good pithcher in clint biggs and hit the ball fairly well on mon and won 8-1....tues game was a slugfest with very supar pithching...im a ex college baseball player with a little knowlege about the game and think jeff co has a great hitting team but no pithching and east will give give some teams trouble with biggs on the mound bit after him they are weak...he pithched in a scrimmage last week against science hill and got knocked around pretty good
