Coach Matthews has applied and interviewed at Warren County and applied at Franklin County. It looks like he is trying to distance himself from the good folks at Lynchburg. What kind of talent is returning and what are the Raiders prospects in 2010?

word is there are some around the town who are trying to get rid of him. so why wouldnt he try to find another job t fall back on if they decide to get rid of him. they should be a good team only losing 5 seniors off this years team, with all those underclassmen getting valuable playing time this year should be a good year.

I saw MC play one game this year. They may several coming back, but their players looked weak to me. Do they have much of a strength and conditioning program?

His overall record at MC 10-11. I have heard if Eagleville comes open he might want to go there. If Carson gets the Franklin Co. job.

I think Mathews will wind up back at Tullahoma. I think he is the Coach in waiting for Tullahoma. Homeboy, very popular with Tullahoma folks. If Sam Melton, current OC does land a job at another school Mathews would be at Tullahoma in a wink of the eye.

Local radio is reporting Matthews, Scott Smith, Trae Aric, and Steve Carson have all applied at Franklin County. I also heard Atkins has told fellow coaches he is interested in Moore County if Matthews leaves for greener pastures.

A great candidate for the Moore County job would be Jeremy Austin. He was defensive coordinator at Cascade (and a very successful one) and is now in Georgia. He grew up in Lynchburg and graduated from MC and keeps up with the program. He wants Raider football back to the discipline and dominance it was when he played.

Heard they are doing away with the Moore Co Football team all together. They are so bad they haven't won a meaningful game in three years. Plus the coach has left because those toothless inbred kids are not coachable. They are too busy drinking Jack Daniels outside the school.
