Thank you. I appreciate that. I'll be coming in from out of state at some point. One more question: Is it one admission for all day or are they emptying the gym this year and having two sessions? Thanks in advance. Dyer Co. and Humboldt Boys looks like an entertaining game....My main interest is in Milan boys. I wish the Gibson Co. girls had some competition...Really, no fun watching them at this level although I would like to see them at least once this year.

Yes, it's one admission for all day. You pay $5.00 and you get your moneys worth.

The Dyer Co. and Humboldt game could be close for awhile, but I don't see Humboldt being able to run with Dyer Co. the whole game. Milan is going to have it pretty tough. They struggled with Peabody and will most likely get blown out against Bolivar. The matchup that I want to see is Bolivar v. Dyer Co. As for the GC girls, they have 2 games left against teams that pose a threat during the regular season. We play Westview @ Westview and play Obion Co. @ GC. We've already beat them once, both by double digits.

Thanks again. I don't see the Gibson County Girls being challenged until Murfreesboro...I guess they could have an off night. Not likely. I saw the Milan boys the other night and they were fun to watch...Diving all over the place. Some good athletes. Hopefully they can hang for awhile....

Humboldt vs. Dyer Co. winner will move on to play more than likely Bolivar. Should be an exciting game. Both teams have 2 of the same opponents: Haywood and Union City. Humboldt beat Union City by 12. Dyer Co. beat Union City by 10. Humboldt beat Haywood by 15. Dyer Co. beat Haywood by 16. Before anyone says this I know that you can't see how teams match-up by scores of games. I have not seen Humboldt play this year. We'll see what turns out.

Styles of play makes predicting games so difficult. Union City has strong ball handlers therefore the press has less effect on them. When you look at styles of play; a strong guard orientated team will play DC closer irregardless whether that team has big men or not. Your Ripley, Union City, and Fayette Ware etc... all were closer games and will give DC problems, but Humboldt give will give these teams problems. Yes, I know DC beat Humboldt in every facet of the game tonight but, DC is still a force the tempo, fast pace, dribble drive guard orientated team.If you can break the press then you score layups but, you have to get back quick and have some depth because DC are extremely deep.

Bolivar has strong guards and will play with DC for a half, then you have the other monster to deal with in DC which is depth. 15-20 point win with DC pulling away late in the game. People sometimes forget that DC is a young team, so they will still make some young unforced errors (they've been doing this all season, even in their blow out wins).

Bolivar has a great back court in Murphy and Tisdale. However, they simply don't have enough horses. I could be entirely off base here and hope I am. I like both teams. I believe DC is probably going to hammer Bolivar in the championship game. If Bolivar had a week to prepare I would say they might even win because Rudesill is a master at game planning......but, so is McCord. This game could be close but I just don't think Bolivar is going to be able to hang in the end. DC clearly has the overall talent advantage. However, I do think Tisdale could have a monster game.

zebra, Dyer Co. defeated Humboldt tonight by the score of 114-84. The game wasn't close at all. I'm guessing around 5 DC players were in double digits. They had 3 monster slams. John Hudson busted about 5-6 threes tonight that were contested 3's. Hubbs, the Fresman, through one down tonight as well as Kody Gross. DC is a very good team and is capable of beating a Raleigh Egypt or a Craigmont, just not sure about a White Station, Southwind, or Ridgeway.

WOW. GC they going to start calling you DCPioneer with statements like that. :thumb:

Hudson had 20 points. Big Ced was a beast in the post 3 blocks (not 100% sure), 15 points, & 12 rebounds.

Justin Williamson had a slam too!

GCPioneer: what is your take on Hubbs?

I would'nt throw dirt on Bolivars grave yet. Bolivar will not get tired and no one has been able to press Tisdale and Murphy and get away with it since they were frosh. Not saying that DC can't beat Bolivar I'm just saying that fatigue and the press will not get it done. I THINK IT WILL BE A CLASSIC, to bad I have to miss it. :thumb:

They can beat Raliegh Egypt and are capable of beating Craigmont (now that McAfee is no longer there) and Germantown. They will not be able to beat Southwind, Ridgeway, White Station, or Melrose. Southwind is a team that will garner some national attention next season (maybe this season). The sleeper out of Memphis is Central. Jarnell Stokes is a BEAST and future McDonalds All American. Hudson and Yarbrough played with Stokes this past spring/summer. Janes as well but a he played 17U( I think). Not sure but I would bet Stokes played quite a few games with the older kids.

DC is probably on there way to another 30 win season. They will be scary in 2010/2011 and 2011/2012. They really need to start scheduling better though. I can understand this season with so many underclassman. But next season they really need to beef up the schedule. DC should try to hit the Arby's classic, Marshall County Hoopfest, and the Poplar Bluff showcase as well as a couple of the Memphis heavyweights starting next season and the season after.

He's not SEC material yet, however if he beefs up with muscle he'll be a beast over the next few years at DC. His body is long and you can tell he knows how to play the game. The jam he had tonight was impressive considering he's a Freshman. He's quick and can handle the ball well. He'll be a great player by his Senior season.

I would not be shocked at all if Bolivar beat DC. I just don't think they will. I am a HUGE Bolivar fan.

BTW, Liberty caused Bolivar all kinds of problems during Murphy/ Tisdale's freshman season. However, that was a nationally ranked Liberty team loaded with seniors so that was to be expected. I think Murphy and Tisdale will have a very good game. For Bolivar to win Coleman will have to have a monster game in my opinion. I'm not sure that's going to happen but it could.
