Forrest beat Community by 13 but played very sloppy. Forrest will have to play a lot better to hang with Huntland tonight.

Huntland wins over a struggling Cornersville team tonight. Balanced scoring and great team play carried the team. The tournament starts saturday, no let down be at your best all the way through.

Is there no interest in this District this year other than rebelboy? Let's hear from Cascade, Eagleville, and Community. Not a great District by any means but a lot of even teams. Makes for a great tournament. Don't be surprised to see someone other than Eagleville win the tournament. Can the Eagles make it a 3rd straight title? Or could it be a Huntland or Forrest bring home the crown? Should be a fun tournament, lets just hope there is quality officiating.

It is among the most balanced fields I've ever seen for a district tournament. We could see anything. Here is the 9-A tournament bracket:

I have not had the opportunity to attend as many games as I normally do this season so my knowledge of the district is limited as compared to past years. What I have seen and read leads me to believe the district is balanced and anyone can take the tournament this year. I can attest to the fact the Eagleville is not playing well right now. They did not look good against Cascade last Friday night, did not adjust well to Cascade's press, and shot selection at times was questionable at best. Reading coach Reed's comments concerning the Boyd Christian game indicates they were fortunate to get out of their with a win.

 

The quality of officiating is usually subjective according to who one roots for and the perception in viewing a game. Being a former official I am hesitant to criticize their work. Like any chosen profession some of these guys and gals are better than others. I have seen games this year that have been very well officiated and others not so much. I believe all anyone coaches, players, and fans can ask for from a crew is consistency and hard work. No game is going to be officiated perfectly.
