West TN football
What is next for the Henry County football team. They graduated over 30 seniors, and from my memory, I would say they lost 18-19 starters. Is it going to be a rebuilding year for the Patriots. If experience is as important as believed, I would have a hard time thinking that Henry County will not take some lumps in 2010. The learning curve will need to be accelerated for the young Patriots. I have heard they have very capable players but little game time experience. Thoughts?
oooooooo
Our schedule will keep us from taking too many lumps. I still see the Big Red as the team to beat in Dist. 10 AAA. sorry guys but Gaddis makes a living of graduating lots of seniors and coming back the next year to DOMINATE again! Who is going to take over??? Springfield?? or one of the Clarksville schools??

Who else could it be ? The feeder schools have been good in recent years and the winning that has taken place in recent years breeds more winning and continued confidence. I see no changes in the next few years in terms of the "district powers"...there will only one, and it will be Henry County. I will say that HC will be 9-1 next year and finish 11-2. The following year HC will be in the state title hunt once again.
olddevil
Probably a very good assessment, RW. I hope you are right.!! The defense returns enough starters and expierenced back ups to be OK if not very good. The offensive side will be inexpierenced and have to be rebuilt but there are very capable prospects available; their development is the key IMHO. GO BIG RED
therealgame
I agree with some of you and disagree with some of you. HC will be back on top thats for sure. I agree with that point. I dont agree that they will lose a game or two. Inman wins championships every year like they always have but now the high school follows their lead. HC will contend for a state championship every year for the next several. We are a power and will be one for at least the next five years. SEC1rules
Who is the probable starting QB? I know we have some great young players that will step up and play well. I think the QB position is the biggest X factor to this teams success.

I think the QB position is the biggest X factor to this teams success. I figure it will be the Ray kid and he will possess Marsalis type speed. You put him with #26 and #34 and HC will have the type of backfield that we had when we were in the semifinals every year. We will not suffer by graduation, we will actually improve. The OL will be the biggest question mark.

Out of the teams from District 10 to go to the playoffs..Only 2 adavnced to the 2nd round..Henry Co and Northeast. Both teams were eliminated, HenryCo - Gallatin and Northeast - State champs Beech. Keep Northeast in the conversation,It will be between these 2 teams.
hchsforlife
Well it's that time of year where we get ready for spring practice updates. I wish that is what I was getting on here for, but I am concerned about rumors (again) that Gaddis is looking at other jobs. I hope this is not true, but I have been doing some snooping around and found the following quote on line: Naturally, the rumors are flying. One is that new Lexington City Schools Superintendent Rick Kriesky has already picked out a coaching friend from Tennessee. Any truth to this? Maybe one bump in the road (like this past season Clarksville game) but HC will dominate this district for many years to come!!! By the way: Three teams made it to the second round last season, Dickson won a first round game in 6A.

Kriesky might be looking for a football coach, but why would Gaddis leave Henry County?
