did anyone hear about the brawl that took place after the game, i heard that mckewen's bus driver started the brawl, is this true? i also heard forrest won haha.

forrest won the fight like they won the game... it didnt happen. . And its MCEWEN... no K!!! I was there and saw it with my own eyes. . a few forrest kids from the student section were trying to get on the mcewen bus and the bus driver's husband was trying to keep them off of the bus while the bus driver was trying to keep the mcewen kids on the bus. Once forrest kids started swinging it was like 5-6 on 1... not too fair. y would u hit someone 20 years older than u. and he did pretty well for 6 on 1 and by that time the whole pep bus was off the bus to help him.. that's all they were trying to do.. also during half time forrest fans were coming over to the mcewen cheering section trying to start a fight.. cussing and yelling.. one pulled out a knife and got ejected. this isnt the first time for forrest to try to start fighting. Mcewen was warned from other fans of 9a that forrest always tries to start fights.. not too classy...

Sorry folks, I worded that statement in an "unclassy" form, for one thing the Forrest students were walking to the concession stand when a rude remark was made toward an African American Forrest student, the student remarked back, then pushing and shoving proceeded, a middle aged grown man from McEwen then tried to fight one of the students, no one pulled a knife, and no one was ejected..........after the game the same African American Forrest student was walking to his car when McEwen's pep bus made derogatory statements toward him, he walk over to the bus, a grown man got off the bus and called him a dumb ni$$@r, pushing and shoving happened, McEwen's bus cleared then brawl took place. The reason cascade was cheering for McEwen is because cascade/forrest have somewhat of a heated rivalry. It's unacceptable for both teams fans, yet I find it hard to believe that six Forrest students took a bus full of people and a grown man, furthermore no one in their right mind would try to fight a bus full of people so I find it hard to believe that Forrest started the fight.

Let's just hope it doesn't happen again, good luck to McEwen the rest of the year.

rockets7, lets just say it it sounds like an unfortunate incident and if a McEwen fan/student made that comment that is totallu unaccepatble and cannot be tolerated.

The following is what happened according to the East Robertson administration who I have spoken to: two young men from Forrest/Marshall County were escorted from the gym, one of them being African American. The administration and law enforcement escorted them from the building and watched them leave the parking lot. They were not parked anywhere near the pep bus for McEwen but in the front of the school. At some point they chose to return and went to the area of the pep bus and players bus for McEwen which was in a very different area. They then began a back and forth with the pep bus and attacked an adult and one minor. Several people joined in the ordeal and the pep bus did clear to stop the 5-6 on 1 attack taking place. At that point two Marshall County/Forrest fans were taken into custody while the others scattered. A Humphreys County school van was also vandalized.

Again, this is the account from the East Robertson adminstration.

I am in no way condoning any name calling by any McEwen fan and that should be dealth with accordingly as well. However, if you are asked to leave and you return and seek out a confrontation, that is not very smart. No matter what words were exchanged there can be no excuse for attacking another person and that would tend to be corroborated by the fact that two Marshall County/Forrest individuals were taken into custody.

All the way around just more examples of how crazy people have gotten.

Agreed, people are crazy, when it comes to fights and stuff of that nature, few people know the the true story due to exaggerations and such. It's something that should be forgotten. Hopefully I'll be able to get off work and watch McEwen/Clarksville game, should be good.

facts? who ever said i had all facts? the supposed "fight with eagleville" is a rumor i had heard during the ball game, i am sorry for you taking that the wrong way. also, what rockets7 said about cascade is true, forrest/cascade is definately one of the biggest rivalries in the mid-south. and now my understandings of the forrest/mcewen game... where the forrest student section was standing were a few east robertson locals that we didn't feel like bothering so we saw open space on mcewen's side so we moved. at halftime, many forrest students had to walk in front of mcewen's student section to get to the concession stand/bathroom/etc. many forrest students were bumped or shoved purposely (by my judgement). students retaliated by mouthing off because that's what students do. the little skirmish was being taken care of until a 30-40 year old man comes running after a forrest student throwing punches. two men grab the man while I (yes me) grabbed the 18 year old he was after and try to push him out of harm's way. then two forrest teachers ran in front of the mcewen section trying to get the enraged man ejected and they were nearly ejected themselves, which seems just ridiculous. does it not??? the third quater began and no one was ejected... after the game a few forrest students were yes, looking for a fight, in retaliation for the halftime scuffle. now from what i've heard from the students that confronted the bus, yes the bus driver called the african american a dumb (what rockets7 said) and all heck broke loose. the bus driver was ganged up on, etc...

that is my story on the situation from what i saw at halftime and what i have heard from many about the "brawl"

now i'd like to address my comment about "sending a few more teenagers"... that was during a laughing matter with friends of mine while reading about this topic. i do apologise if i offended any of ye warrior faithful. also, this does not reflect forrest high school... you know what? screw it yes it does. we are a group of enthusiastic high school students who don't like taking crap from anyone, but sometimes we like to take it a little too far in retaliation. at halftime mcewen ticked us off, our "fighting few" took it way too far after the game and they all know that, although this IN NO WAY regulates the student's actions after one was called a dumb n@**!$. it is simply THE FACT that some forrest students are willing to face the consequences of getting revenge. they will face those consequences and then say "it was worth it"... so say what you want because these were forrest students defending personal pride! don't mess with forrest! end of discussion! bring on the hate mail!!! :roflol::oops:

p.s. good luck Mcewen, yall played a great game. :o

i was at the game sitting right behind forrests student section when they were sitting on mcewens side. well, theres nothing i can really say about them without hurting their feelings. glad mcewen won so we play them for a fourth time.

you can't say anything about any student section without hurting their feelings, either that or they're not that "good" of a student section.

Here is the question that i have to ask the adult on the bus " why open the bus door?" Leave it shut and all the kids can do is run their mouths. Sounds like he was not thinking? He should have gotten his kids quiet and left. I am from Forrest and I tell you that I am extremely embarrassed of our students behavior and this should not be tolerated by the administration. All of this took away the excitement from one of the best runs by a Forrest team that lost their best player before the season started, overcame many injuries during the season, and found unlikely heros in freshmen that should have the players and coaches excited about the future. We did not play our best and got beat. McEwen is a very good team and whipped us and there were no excuses made on here by Forrest, they were the better team that night. The center for Forrest who got the techs is Forrest's only senior and he let his emotions get the best of him, but I know him and he is truly a great young man who made a few bad decisions. I know it is a bias remark but it is true, any team would love to have a young man like him on their team. As far as Cascade cheering against us, oh well that doesn't surprise anybody over here.

I was at the game also and I want to know how can Forrest fans can justify anything that happened that night!! They sat on Mcewen's fan side on purpose. There was plenty of room on their side for their student body to sit. I had a 10 year old that was standing in the front row with his cousin and brother of the McEwen student body and my 10 year old was repeating things that the 18 to 19 year olds were saying to our student body. I as a parent was sitting behind our group right along with Clarksville Academy and Casade players and student body who was also cheering McEwen on. I would never condone my children to behave in such manner nor my kids who play for McEwen to play in such manner. It goes to show what kind of class McEwen players and student body has when other teams join to cheer with us, cause thats how we are, BUSINESS on the COURT and get along with other teams OFF the COURT!!! They were getting beat from the getgo never came close to winning that game.... The center and other players on the Forrest team was also showing BAD SPORTSMANSHIP against our players or the refs would never had T'D them up. Parents from Forrest NEVER should have cheered the players on for acting that way on the court. NEVER WILL or NEVER HAVE you seen McEwen players act like that when they are losing. The lose with class because that is the way us parents have taught our kids the value of winning and losing. Someone always win and someone always loses in every game that is played. As for out Bus Driver who got jumped was trying to defend the minor children on that pep bus who those 18 to 19 year olds, WHO KNEW BETTER to go after young kids like that. The ones who say McEwen started the brawl is a liar and knows it!!! Our kids may not be perfect and by all means never said they were, but who is gonna sit there and take a bunch of crap off of someone. And for the 30 to 40 year old at half time was only sticking up for the kids also. Wether anyone wants to believe it or not if your the age of 18 and above you are considered an adult!!! Any other parent who heard the words coming out the Forrest fan club toward our kids would have done the EXACT same thing!!! According to the coach of Forrest he was ashamed of the fans who started that and that they wasn't there to really watch the game, they were there to stir up trouble. He told McEwen players that those 18 to 19 years even in school was a bunch of trouble makers!! Goes to show what kind of up bringing these ppl instill in their kids. :roflol:

    • It was not ACHS at all, they have zero reason to worry about Clinton.  It had to do with a kid (non football player)  that had a charge and appeared in front of the juvenile judge.  The judge saw that the kid was way behind credit wise for his grade and told him to reappear in a month with a plan to graduate.  When the kid reappeared he had more that twice the credits than one month before.  The judge called BS and contacted the school.  That is what started the investigation.  This involves multiple students, but to this point no athletes are involved.
    • I believe the Covington Chargers travel to Trenton Peabody for a scrimmage today? Anyone going to this? Curious how the Chargers will do.
    • Good ole Bradley Zulliger. He was a really good QB @ OR. Fun to watch.  Wore #15 and was like a mini Tebow, with the exception of being right handed. He could take a pounding and keep on ticking. Played with a collapsed lung against Powell that year. Tough as nails.
    • They should be pretty good in year two for Rang.  Replacing most of the offensive production losing Dozier, Hayward and Rembert , but they're are skill kids in place ready for their shot.  I know I say this every year, but the o line should show improvement after two years in Rang and Kevin Day's weight program.  I still would favor West over Plow and OR come November.  The Rebs will have to grow up a bunch between now and then, and will probably take some lumps along the way with that schedule.  But I predict come playoff time they will be ready.   One of their coaches half joked to me that they could go 5-5 regular season and win the state championship.  Ha ha.
