Who in high school ball can really haul around the basepaths? Are there any speedsters or slappers out there that can go 2.75 or better to first? Who is the fastest you have seen?

We (Kingston) have a freshman named Sydney Spurgeon that is very quick. In travel ball she has been our lead off and tough to stop. A good slapper and can hit for power too. So far she is the quickest from home to first I have seen.

The fastest one up there is listed at 3.25 at last years Scenic City 16s....

I think it makes a difference "HOW" you time the runners. The fastest runners in D-I are right at 2.6, but I think the stop watch is started when ball contact is made which is different than a "ready set go" approach.
