jay5
That's a very good question
TheSpoon
If 'METRO' Head Coaching jobs are so good then why are there NO Head Coaches or assistants from the surrounding counties applying? Are you just copying and pasting this post in every thread that mentions metro? No money. No booster clubs. No community support. Coaching in metro is harder than most places. You can find something else to post now.
TheSpoon
Question for the board .... who will replace Scott Brunette (Metro AD) in the fall of 2010? I would have pegged Tribue in this spot a few years ago but probably not now. Maybe Lost Old Dad will take it.

Is it possible that you are possibly a possibility? Ha ha. No. Are you a possibility? I dont know if he would be interested but how about Wilson? Runtheball said he might be looking at getting back into metro as a coach. Why not athletic director instead? Runtheball and "13NCS" said he was an administrator so he is obviously licensed for such a role.

Until the schools get the 'neighborhood school' atmosphere back they will not enjoy the support the schools do in the surrounding counties. They also will not have the booster club support until then either. Hopefully the new director of schools in Metro can find a way to get it back and also fight the UNION problem Metro has. The NEA is NOT a friend to the students or parents. Then again the gangs are a friend to NOBODY and hurts also. Thing is we hear NOTHING about folks trying to fix it and how they are going to try from Parents, Teachers, or Administrators. We on the outside talk about it as we do NOT want the problem to spread to us. Settling for mediocroty is something no one should strive for. When you got a guy on the school board it seems like forever that all he cares about is Pearl/Cohn this and Pearl/Cohn that...you got a problem that will not go away. Metro is a joke in the coaching world and has nobody to blame for it but themselves. It is truly embarrassing to live in Nashville and have to put up with this second rate high school athletics. You didn't want community schools, you wanted busing---well you got what you wanted and what do you have now---nothing ...it is what it is...5 Down and 5 Across. runtheball
Most metro schools will begin spring football Monday May 3rd. Will all schools be having spring and will all schools have a coach named by then?
