oochie Posted March 19, 2010 Report Share Posted March 19, 2010 Howard doesn't have that great of coaching. Moose is a good guy but not a great coach. Yea, he wins in the city of Chatt. but he never takes the team anywhere for tournaments outside the city to play really hard competition or even competition(teams) that he might see in the state tournament. Winning during the season is great but 1 game and out is only satisfactory. When you get to state you have to rely on that tough competition, whether you won or lost, to help you battle through tough situations that you may face at the state tournament. If you haven't played very tough competition, you better be a great coach that can make adjustments when needed during the state tournament and have watched alot of game film on the teams that are present at the state tournament. Moose does none of this and really can't. You can't always keep doing the same things that you have done all year and always be successful at the state. Preparation is the key. You may go up there with the attitude that people know who we are but year after year, they know where you are going. Home. Moose just can't win the big one. 26-4 looks good for a coaches record but a gold ball looks good for everybody. If you get hit, you should hit back. We never had that fight about us for some reason. I try to tell our kids to play football or other sports to get tougher. We just weren't tough enough."
