Greenfield beat Lake Co. last night 3 to 2. Jacob Johnson pitched a very good game....the entire game. Greenfield is now 4-2 on the year.

The Jackets will be playing in the Huntingdon Classic this weekend. They play on Thurs. night, 2 on Friday, and one on Saturday. 4 games in 3 days....after playing Monday and Tuesday! So, the Jackets are very busy this week. I'm sure some of our younger pitchers will be pitching this weekend.

Go Jackets!

Greenfield got beat by Camden 8-6 tonight at the Huntingdon Classic. The Jackets have one of their best players sitting this classic out due to a sore back. The other two best pitchers probably wont be pitching in this one, because they pitched against Lake Co. earlier in the week. But, that gives the other fellas a chance to get some game experience.

Tonight, our freshman pitcher went the distance. He did a good job, except for a couple of rocky innings. One good thing is that our team hit the ball tonight better than they've hit all year, even with one our best hitters sitting on the bench.

Tomorrow, Greenfield plays Bruceton and Huntingdon. Then, on Saturday, we're supposed to play Adamsville, if the rain holds off.

The Jackets have already played 5 games this week, and 2 JV games. We're supposed to play Adamsville tomorrow if the weather permits. So, that'll be 6 games and 2 JV games this week.

We beat Bruceton today 8-6. OUr 6th string pitcher started this game, and our 5th string pitcher finished it. Hitting is getting better every game.

We lost to Huntingdon 17-10 in the second game. We started our 5th string pitcher against them. He pitched great for 4 innings, and we were leading 6-1. Then, he got tired....he had pitched 3 2/3 in the first game, and he had pitched Monday and Tuesday in the JV games. So, he started walking people, and Huntingdon started hitting him. Before we could turn around, Huntingdon had scored a lot of runs.

Dont know who will pitch tomorrow. Dont know if we have anyone left to pitch? But, these boys are getting some very good experience from this.

    • Best-of-three sectional series vs East Robertson at home starting Wednesday.  They put us out last year at this point.  Go Pirates!!

    • Congratulations to the Warrior baseball team winning the Region Championship.  Last night the football team beat Franklin Co 33-0 in their spring scrimmage. Warriors looked very good. Missing a few players who were playing baseball but still absolutely dominated. A lot of young ones got in halfway through the 3rd when the score reached 33-0. QB Tilton Pickett looked very sharp.  Sam Pickett is on another level this season. Seems to have put on 15 to 20 lbs in the off season and added a step as well. Transfer from last year Williamson caught numerous balls and is very elusive. Lots of athletes on this team. Defense was smothering and will only get better. The head coach from Sewanee was in attendance and offered 2 kids after the game. Could be a special year.
