Let's go White Station.

Interesting: The announcers are now discussing their realization of the HUGE misconception about White Station:

They are a ONE MAN team -- Joe Jackson.... Stop Joe Jackson = Stop White Station.

If that's how NE is thinking they're in for a big surprise.

Go White Station make it another all west final :roflol:

In their defense it's probably the second time they have seem WS play....These guys usually do games in their local areas...I know one of the guys that did the Melrose game is the play-by-play guy for Obion Central...

This sounds like a great game, so far!

End of the 1st QTR:

White Station 20 -- Clarksville NE 13

Clarksville is absolutely nailing those 3-pointers!

Meanwhile WS is scoring mostly in the paint.

--------------------------------------

There is one EXTREMELY ominous trend developing for Clarksville:

White Station's post players have scored the bulk of their points!!!

White Station very tough to beat when their "bigs" contribute, offensively.

Halftime:

------------------------------

White Station 35 -- Clarksville NE 25

---------------------------------

Joe Jackson only 4 points!!

Nice competitive game.

NOrtheast has a nice game with the double on Joe at the half. Instead of forcing the action Jackson is handling the point well and giving the ball to his teammates. He is not trying to over do it. Great first half from both teams. WS missed on a couple of fast break chances that could have blown the game open...

It sounds like Clarksville NE is being too perimeter-oriented.

Meanwhile, White Station's big men are owning the paint and controlling the boards.

---------------------

It sure sounds like Clarksville's game plan was to stop White Station's two guards (Jackson and Holliins), at all cost, and take their chances with WS's post players.

If that was indeed their thinking.....they're gonna have to make some serious adjustments.

White Station is also destroying CNE on the boards. That is also not a good sign for Clarksville.

If Clarksville is to come back and defeat WS, they MUST do a better job -- defensively and rebounding.

    • 20 but had 5-6 not dressed every game. It went down towards the end due to injuries and obviously only 15 got to dress for the state tournament. Then, they only lost 2 from this year and gain 8 from the middle school for next year
    • As somebody mentioned before, this is going to result in a massive lawsuit, can you imagine professional "educators" actually having the conversation about getting "the bad kids" out of the high school?  And the head coach asking directly to change grades, gets turned down, comes back again and gets it approved?  This is unbelievable.  In addition to the lawsuit, the state Department of Education is going to come down extremely hard on this.  WYSH is on the war path.  There could be dozens more lose their jobs by the time this is over.  And yeah the real shame is the kids being affected that literally had nothing to do with this and actually worked hard to earn their grades.
    • I've heard Powell from someone who talked to him. I saw the kid two days ago and I should of pulled over and talked with him and wished him well where ever he goes. It will be a ale of a loss for us because I don't believe we have anyone in the stable good as him from what I seen in the spring.
    • I would have to think that the firing of the 2 teachers is just the beginning of future moves.  If not, it is woefully short.  If the AC school board thinks that the damage is just limited to Clinton, they are sadly mistaken.  Any outsider would view the whole school system as suspect, and rightly so.
    • Yeah. AC brass walked in to the building at Clinton and suggested that the principal start changing grades.  Honesty, the notion that anybody at AC was involved is just idiocy.  The ones who are hurt most are the kids who weren't involved in the cheating, but still are being penalized by college admission decisions and scholarship consideration simply because they went to a school that was involved in such a scandal.
