Excellent tournament, 3 top 25 overall teams. Highlight of the weekend will definitely be the Hendersonville vs. Father Ryan game. How will Gallatin and McMinn Co. fare? Will Ravenwood prove that they deserve to be ranked?

Knox Catholic-2 Hendersonville-1

A great game..

It was a very up and down physical game. Catholic scored on beautiful free kick from about ten yards outside the box by Kosta Nassios. Henderson tied with a penalty kick for an undisputed hand ball in the box . Max Herrera scored the second goal for Catholic with a well placed header. Two very skillful teams going all out.Hendersonville had more of the game but could not finish.Catholic defended well and counterd with out taking chances. Good luck to both and thanks for the hospitality.

The Ravenwood vs. Father Ryan game was extremely close despite how the score looks. I was watching and Father Ryan hit shots everywhere but the back of the net. Ravenwood played solid in the back but Father Ryan had way too many opportunities that were not capitalized on.

Hendersonville 3 - McMinn County 1 (Saturday night) - FUN game to watch

At halftime they recognized the 1980 team, which was the first Hendersonville Soccer team that layed the foundations for this proud program. The team went on to become the first ever public school to win the soccer state championship, in 1983. A big thanks to them..

sounds like a ryan fan in denial. ravenwood had the better of play the entire match and missed several opportunties of their own. ryan's physical play was matched by ravenwood whose backs had an excellent game.

    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
