What kind of contest is this going to be? Does this comply with TSSAA rules? You could get in big trouble if it doesn't. You think Im joking cause im not. Will these boys also be running a 50 yard dash to see who is the fastest? These boys should drink them a red bull before they lift and it will make them stronger. Someone should post these weight lifters numbers in my book so I can refer to them this fall when I give my insight on each game. I will know who is real big and strong and can knock a hole.

I used to raise game fighting chickens. I don't have any chickens anymore. I am raising a few right now and going to see if Grider wants to buy them for our boys to chase them around too make them real fast and quick for the season. Let me ask you a question. How much weights did the strongest boy up their lift yesterday? I garuntee you Trousdale has some big ole boys that can knock a hole for their runners to run through.

Trousdale County is The Ambassador to about 99.9 percent of the teams in or below their classification. I am quite sure that they have some of these boys that Roy refers to as "big ole strong boys."

Two questions:

1) How are things at the Creekbank following the flood...I have heard there were major issues (hope things are alright)?

2) What were the results of the competition? Sounds like some good quality teams there, so how did it go?

The Creekbank is under water. About 7 ft. deep under the goal posts, according to Coach Creasy.

A few seats up into the bleachers as well. Real mess. Water going down, sloooowly, but the Jackets,

and the Creekbank will survive. It's been under water before, not this bad in recent history.

With Spring practice scheduled to begin May 10, there may be some new plays in the play book....

mudslide off tackle, etc. LOL. Where there's a will, there's a way. Jackets have the will, and will find

a way.

Good luck in '10 Jackets, make it the first 3 'peat!!!

    • Honestly the A.D. may be powerless at Maryville to some degree versus other schools. I know he has his hands full with GoFan and all the stupid surprises just from the emails he sends out during the season.
    • Harriman was better than what I anticipated. They had good skill guys and a QB that’s gonna make a lot of teams look silly. They had some silly pre snap penalties but it’s just spring and I guess that’s expected.    Oneida looks the part. They are big upfront and got a stable of backs that’s gonna carry them this year. They have a few playmakers at receiver also. They have a new receiver that has only played basketball till this year and he is very athletic. The question is can we find a QB to consistently get them the ball. They played 2-3 kids there and none looked great but they didn’t look awful either. The  defense is gonna be tough again but it’s very early and a lot can change between now and the fall.     It was good just to get out and watch some ball. I don’t know if Oneida has the team to win the region this year but just what I saw tonight I think they may be in the conversation come November.
