You know, you may be right and I may have to end up agreeing with you but lets look at the positives. They evidently were looking for a female athletic Director which she was at Blackman Middle for 6 years, positive, She played at oakland and also at MTSU, positive. She excelled in coaching at Blackman Middle and won the large school touirnament this year for the state, not a novice. And according to the DNJ, she has taken over the team with a parents meetin g and set up tryouts for the school for next year, good organization. She has started out right and looks to know what she wants to do and knowing the parents and players at the school, tney have already made plans to beat last years record a its hard to get around all of that. The most noticeable positive, An athletic director for female sports for the school who has many female athletes playing year around and needs the spokesman and caretender for the group. The current DNJ year end awards was full of motivated Lavergne female athletes that supported each other and the school and she will fit right in. Good luck coach. I would say she will be a fighter.

she was also an assistant at Riverdale and at Eagleville she has high school coaching experience. dont put too much stock in high school head coaching experience. there are a lot of coaches with high school head coaching experience that dont deserve many more chances to be a head coach on that level

If she is going to be a co-AD or whatever, does this mean current "athletic director" Coach Miller will be retiring or stepping aside soon?

As many schools have done, I take this as an AD for female athletics for the school. It could mean something else but if it was that, it would be published as being that. This is a huge positive move as far as Gill, DA and the school is concerned and it would be interesting to read, if available, what the job description is and what the time limitations are. A lot of this is organizational with approval of Adminsitration but much of a AD's job is to listen and help with the formulation of the Ladies program at Lavergne, much like Colleges/Universities model. She is also Womens basketball coach. Wonder what she does in her spare time?
