Coaching positions are strictly supplemental positions, therefore no tenure or guarantee exists that you can keep that position. Tenure only exists in the classroom. sbaalum Posted July 31, 2010 Report Share Posted July 31, 2010 Not necessarily true.....Many times in education, teachers and or coaches will in the face of bigger problems step down(or agree to be removed) to save themselves or the school from further embarrassment. I'm with the other folks on here, there is way more to this. Also, sometimes the circumstances surrounding the proof do not enable the administration to make a common sense decision.
