Now where is the fun in waiting to see how the game turns out and then talk about it. This is a forum for all us grandstand coaches and cant play no more players to tell it like its gonna be, and then maybe have to eat a little crow( taste good doesnt it mickey). Its all in fun, so have a little, but be realistic, LCHS may win but not by a bunch unless you get to have more than 11 on the field and Im not talking about the zebras. I look for a good game and if it was basketball I would give you the edge with Garland, but our football coach knows how to adjust to a player that is killing you. DOOLEY where you at, I got your board. GO BOBCATS!!!

X5 you misunderstood me. I didn't say wait and see how the game turns out and then talk. I said do your talking on the field. I do however expect a lot of talking after the game. I just don't know which side will be doing the most of it. Either way what a great rivalry! I must admit the stupid stuff has calmed down and the last few post were about football and scores. Good clean fun! Oh yeah, Dooley is off at college now and I am not sure he cares as much as he used to. I do miss him on here though! Look on the bright side.......we still have YOU!!

fb101, glad we were able to work that out. My college days are over but I can remember those days, so I cant blame dooley for having better things to do. Had a big pep rally tonight everyone was really pumped and ready, cant wait til GAME TIME. GO BOBCATS!!!

Well I would like to predict a Bobcat win tonight in a good game, the Giles Co bunch and O.C. has the Wildcat number, it will be close hard hitting in a rivalry that means as much now as it did twenty years ago. It is just ashame that they have to play on such a bad field, I wonder how high the grass will be?

i'm glad someone else has noticed that. You must have played on the field recently ;) They have the worst field I have ever seen and I've been to a lot of football fields.

NO NOT lately but have played on it in the past and have seen plenty of them myself, the grass is high the field is rough and it has the worst pich on a field i have ever seen, you can hardly see the other team from across the field

Hey! I played on that field in the first game there. It was like a creek gravel parking lot, scattered with patches of dead grass. Made me long for playing in the old pit behind EO Coffman.

And I stand corrected there are 4 cowbells rather than 3.

Looking forward to another Bobcat victory tonight.

I can assure you the field is in fine shape! I came by just a few minutes ago and they were picking the last few square bales up! Now if the AG department will just get those darn goats off the field! No really, the field looks great and it does have a unique hump in it but heck, that is home field advantage. While your over here look around at the nice Little League parks, soccer fields and softball fields. Up until last year I sure never heard anyone talking about how great the Giles County stadium was. The field looks nice and soft for the Bobcats. Yall come on over!!

I am sure the goats are there but not on the field I bet, as for the hump in the field it gives a new meaning to running down hill! I will agree Lawrence Co. does have a good Baseball complex very nice, just one thing wrong we are not playing baseball, it is football.

Well at least they fixed the dead grass problem :roflol: you'll sink up in the field if you stand there to long now.

I assure you I know what game we are playing! If I am not mistaken both teams will be playing on the same field so quit your crying! Oh yeah, as for the goats, at least they aren't scared over here like they are at your house!!

I liked the field behind Coffman. It was the field up behind the old armory that was so rough. It think it used to be a churt pit.I expect a good game just afraid Law.Co. has upper hand this year.I think the Bobcats are more atheletic but from what i saw last week seemed like the Bobcats got pushed around alot. But if you look at it Giles Co. has played or scrimmaged a team under 5A since the championship game so at least they are holding their own.

    • Eagleville hosting shows laziness on the part of the TSSAA and a complete disregard for the appearance of impartiality. Absolutely nothing against EHS. Its not their fault TSSAA is lazy.    I understand EHS staff work the games at Eagleville, and they don’t want to miss the EHS games. However this isn’t rocket science. It would take less than 1 hour to cross-train EHS and RHS volunteers at the opposite sites. If Eagleville (or any host)  makes the tournament, flip their game site and have the volunteers flip sites for the days their school plays at the opposite site. Magically the school’s fans would be present to watch the their kids play and the kids at least lose some familiarity and home field advantage.  It takes almost no effort and is a ~15 minute extra drive.
    • We feel the pain!
    • Jason Lambert should be the only choice for the Baseball coaching position.
    • From the stats I found online it looks like Gabe Eddington- .484, 44 total hits, 43 runs scored and 42 stolen bases.Meanwhile, on the mound, the Austin Peay commit had a record of 8-2, while compiling 50 innings pitched with an ERA of 1.82. Carson Parrott - 7-0 overall as a starting pitcher with a 1.41 ERA, 95 strikeouts and a save in 53 and 1/3 innings pitched. Parrott hit .392 with 3 home runs, 21 RBIs with a .566 OBP and .716 SLG. Jaxon Walker - .454, 53 hits, 38 RBI’s, 9 HRs.   Not saying the other three aren’t deserving but Quillen had better BA than all three and was just as dominate pitching.  Like I said I don’t know how you leave off the 3a Baseball player of the year last year when he put up better numbers.  I know Greeneville’s Coach wasn’t happy about it saying “I don’t give a s*** what anybody else says. That kid is the best player in Tennessee, and everybody else on our team rises to his level“.  I’m sure winning another State Championship as a junior is more important to Carson than the individual award, it’s just a head scratcher to not be nominated
