Hey....since we are walking down memory lane I got to celebrate with the bell a couple times myself.

I'm guessing Mikey got a couple wins in the cowbell game too.

I guess all three of us have something else in common :thumb: I may have gotten to hold it more than both of you though

Now where is the fun in waiting to see how the game turns out and then talk about it. This is a forum for all us grandstand coaches and cant play no more players to tell it like its gonna be, and then maybe have to eat a little crow( taste good doesnt it mickey). Its all in fun, so have a little, but be realistic, LCHS may win but not by a bunch unless you get to have more than 11 on the field and Im not talking about the zebras. I look for a good game and if it was basketball I would give you the edge with Garland, but our football coach knows how to adjust to a player that is killing you. DOOLEY where you at, I got your board. GO BOBCATS!!!

Crow isn't that bad, you just have to eat it with a small side of dignity and class. Oh and it's Mikey, not mickey :roflol:

Sorry Mr.Mike forgot to proof read. It happens when you get older. WOMG my hair is getting kinda long. Guess we will have to wait til Saturday to talk football.

It appears that if you wanted to talk football and make a few predictions there were a few from Lawrence County willing to do that. However, when a few started making fun of and talking about stupid stuff they just shut down. Such a shame! This would have been a great on to discuss. Sure its fun sometime but not all the time! Yall Giles Countians have fun on here together and we will see yall Friday night in L'burg. Do drive careful due to the road construction and get here early because its going to be crowded. You also might want to park on the Weakley Creek road lot. I think they usually have a gate there and would be a very easy walk to your seats.

Massey Ratings has Giles winning 26-15. Giles teams in the past had trouble putting points on the board on the road. With columbia only putting up 21 could be a long night. Defense has always been stingy since the OC era. If LC has a passing game, things could get real interesting.

That darn Massey Ratings computer! It knows more about football than all my friends combined! :roflol: And much easier to talk to!

That sounds like a prediction we can believe in. They were very close in most all the games last year right up through the state championship game. I'll predict a 28-14 Giles County victory. Go Bobcats!

    • And can you tell me who those two quarterbacks were, and every kid that was put into college from Bearden is a Bearden kid? It’s kind of why they graduated from Bearden.   and I would definitely not consider ETSU “waste”…
    • Most of this is complete gibberish. But the one part I could decipher is putting kids in college. This coaching staff hasn’t put a single Bearden kid in college. They completed wasted one of the best WRs in East TN and have ruined two talented QBs. All because they’re in over their heads.
    • Well, I’d hope the new coaching staff thinks they are all that because they can always walk around the school, anytime they want, thinking that, especially for what they’ve done for the student athletes and the players, putting more kids in college in his first season than the old coaching staff did in numerous years combined, but we will just sweep over that because I know you don’t like facts. But trust me, nobody wanted Mr. Big britches, made the star player switch to quarterback, which is ultimately the reason he ended up transferring to play the position. He loved, but unfortunately, had to be at another school because Mr. Big Britches doesn’t like when a teenager knows more than him, but can’t expect much coming from a guy who used all class throwing pencils up into the ceiling and making fun of football kids who were failing class right to their face, and in front of numerous students, even projecting on the board most of the time.
    • After that first paragraph, I can see why you’re a TA and not a teacher. Have you made the move from South Knoxville to Bearden yet?    Maybe he left because he is an actual teacher and coach, and didn’t want to be associated with a group of foul mouthed middle school coaches who like to pretend they’re big time.
    • Yeah and the coach is gone. Whole bizarre situation here. We played them a couple of times at MTSU last few years. She was a player for sure.
