  1. 1. Who takes this one?

I was pumped last night doing the game on the radio. I have not seen Coffee Co. hit that hard in a long time. Jordan Brown and Brent Wix were kicking butt last night.

I could tell!!! Wish I could of been at that game...transportation issues lol. Hopefully will be at the Coffee Pot game, and hopefully our boys continue to hit this hard and uses this game against WC as momentum, although Tullahoma got them a nice win to. Should be a good game in my opinion. I got pumped up once Wix took the opening kickoff to the house! How did Chris M. look with his punting?? Any more details on the skirmish that took place?

Let the coaches coach..... My son plays for them he is no star by all means but he still is excited about the coaches he has. It's two losses if you don't want to support them that's you alls loss. They need to make this were we can see the names of who is posting. Probaly wouldn't be as many negative post

The standard has a picture of coffee countys Brent Wix flying in with a drop kick to a pioneer player during the brawl. It is a true act of classless and pure thuggery by coffee county's players. They cheaped shotted our linemen all night. To bad Wix wasn't thrown out. maybe the TSSAA will see the film and pics and do something.

There was a muffed punt (or appeared to be) and some players didn't realize it and stopped play, and the ones that saw it kept going after the ball. The ones that stopped thought they were being hit late, pandemonium ensues, flying drop kicks...

That's the way I interpreted it.

And to all the WC fans cheering it on, do you realize you could've lost half your team for this week if they had started throwing people out?

The game of Football is a very physical and emotional. The players get so mentally involved in the game that sometimes tempers fly. That is when the Coaches have to step in and control their kids, and trust me these young men are kids... I was at the game, first one I have been to this year, and I was very impressed on how Coach Nunley and his staff controlled their players, unlike WC they did not allow their Players to rush the field, that my friend shows class by Nunley. As for you calling kids (classless and pure thuggery by coffee county's players) you should have looked at your stands, when the adult fans starting cheering the WC players on during the scuffel shows a lack of class and sportsmanship. Good Luck to the WC players and coaches I wish you the best.

    • Deja vu all over again, 7 yrs apart. SMDH Does anybody talk to each other?
    • OK, well, that’s because two quarterbacks can’t start. That’s football 101. The main quarterback won the starting job, so he was on varsity, and the Seymour transfer did not win the starting job. He played some varsity. He was mainly junior varsity, and he balled out when healthy, so for the starting quarterback who’s been starting varsity since his freshman year, if you have any form of proof that he’s gotten worse, somehow, whether that means stats or whatnot, please feel free to share.
    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
