I hope were lucky enough to fall down in front of all those speedsters you have because that might be the only way we are able to stop you. I guess we will show up but I don't see the point, I mean you have been the most dominant team in Tennessee for years. All those state championships you've won recently. HA! The way you guys talk you would think we were playing Alcoa or Maryville this week. We'll have 10 points before halftime. I believe you DB people have the waco disease.

I was unaware that Maryville and Alcoa's football teams had 720+ wins. I thought Kingsport Dobyns-Bennett was the only team in the State of Tennessee with that many football victories. You make it sound like Alcoa and Maryville have a long standing storied football tradition in Tennessee.

 

Over the past 10-12 years I will agree that no team has been as good as Maryville and Alcoa, but when you talk football with old timers & young bucks across the State of Tennessee a handful of schools are always mentioned. Boone is not one of those teams.

 

Kingsport Dobyns-Bennett Football is respected across the State for 1 reason. They have a tradition of Winning!

 

Yes, the Indians have not won a State Championship since the inception of the state playoffs. I know DB has not performed well in the playoffs recently. DB has not won a State Championship even with their highly talented teams that they have had over the past 10 years.

 

But Guess What!? We are still Kingsport Dobyns-Bennett...THE WINNINGEST FOOTBALL PROGRAM IN THE STATE OF TENNESSEE!

Q: How many other teams can say that?

A: None, there is only One. That is Kingsport Dobyns-Bennett Indians! The Tribe! The Maroon Machine! Fear the Spear! We Are D.B.!

 

All you Haters out there, Keep Hating! Dobyns-Bennett is not going anywhere. They have been the Winningest Football Program in Tennessee for quite sometime, and I don't think anyone is taking that crown anytime soon.

 

Boone...when you all begin to win 11+ games a year consistently come talk to us, until then we will see you at the cow pasture Friday night.

I am sure you are right about the speed you all have and we did play the worst complete game in two years against South. Not taking anything away from South, they took advantage and beat us like a drum. Our defense contained the run well except when South's quarterback dropped back and then tuck and run. He has speed and moves and I beleive some of our guys still see him in their sleep. Congradulations on the state ranking! You are right for sure about your band, some us are still amazed and talk about seeing them last year.

The only peace of the band that I need is the one tuba player that starts the walk.If the players are that fired up,than we will be ok.That just means it's time for coach Watson to have his water ready and the players should be ready to hit somebody.If the whole band starts playing,I might be so fired up that Washington counties finest may have to escort me out. You are correct that Dobyns Bennett is respected across the state and Boone is not known as a powerhouse football program. Congradulations for being the winningest program in the state, but your questions and answer session will not cause DB to win Friday night. You will win if you beat Boone on the field and your past will have nothing to do with it. DB should win because of your great football program and being class 6A, but I hope Boone gives everything they have on the field so win or lose they will not get heads to low or to high. Also out of respect to Nathan Hale, a well thought of former Principle of Boone for many years (now deceased)you are not coming to play at the cow pasture, but Nathan Hale Stadium.

Please dont start that 6a mess,if teams cant play ,then whine like boone did when they had to go play greenville and the morristown schools when they left the mountian lakes,They were getting there butts handed to them so they started crying about travel,if you cant play just tell them to call over to D-B and give up.
