This young man is in capable hands, the Doc's at LeBonheur DO believe in the power of prayer too, they've seen it.A boy from our community suffered a lower arm injury last Thanksgiving Day resulting in loss of blood flow for three days, after about a week they went into surgery expecting to remove his hand, and long story short, the Dr. stated "no explanation except the Lord has healed it"!This young man is now planning on playing baseball this fall.Pray with humility in your heart, and it will be heard.Pray too that the Lords will be done, and that the young man and his family recieve the peace to accept whatever His plans are,we are not ment to understand all things.Prayers from the Scotts Hill community for everyone this touches.

My daughter just called me with an update on the young man from Gleason injured in our game last night. He is out of surgery and has a "signifigant spinal cord injury". The feeling in his upper body is coming along OK but not so good at all in his lower body. Keep up the prayers ya'll.

Butchie, check if you can and see why tnrec (my daughter) can't get on here to post. She's been trying to update on Drake's condition all AM and can't get in to post.

prayers from Trousdale duck!

Thanks to all who are praying, please don't stop. We at Gleason are just devistated at this point. It is definately in God's hands and through him good things will happen. As updates come in, it will get posted. I am truly blessed by the knowledge and first hand seeing that both teams last night huddle and said prayers on Rebel field. It is awesome to see these young men and women (cheerleaders joined in) take the initiative to do such a thing.

It is sad when something like this happens to bring us all back to reality sometimes because we get so caught up in the game and who is the best. Then something like this happens and sets us all back on our heals. May God bless and direct the hands working on Drake and may he lead the Damesworth family in the direction they need to go.

Glad your back on here tnrec1. Keep us updated and call me when you hear anything about Drake.

Seems like it was just last year that he and the twins and other little guys were playing Jr. League football down at the park and remember well how hard Drake always plays and how much he loves football.

This is just terrible. Been on my mind all day!!!

Last I heard this afternoon from his church family is that Drake is recovering from his AM surgery and did have movement in the upper extremities. His lower extremeties had some slight movement but no feeling still. He will require another procedure once the swelling subsides and the prognosis is still in question. The family is in a wait in see position at this time.

Please, everyone keep Drake and his family in prayer. They are going through a difficult time and will need all the support they can get.

    • Hope the catcher on baseball team come back out and play's football . He didn't play last year if I remember but I don't remember much after that wreck anyways.. But he did play his freshman and soph years and I thought was a very good player. He's put on some size now, so I'm hoping he's thinking about playing again..
    • Pirates are young this year.  Gordy can sleep on them.
    • They’ll get it worked out eventually.Farragut is too good of a program to be down for long. As an OR fan, I can’t really say I’m too distraught about it though.
    • I didn’t even see that until you said something, but I don’t think it’s that bad. Yes, the coaches can’t get along with each other. But I don’t think they’re openly taking shots at each other right in front of the parents. If they are, that’s pitiful though, that’s really pitiful. I sure hope they’re not, but yeah, I’ve heard the same thing from players over at Farragut getting fed up, and I feel as though what the coaching staff has been trying to keep under the prying eyes of the parents is now out on full display.
    • and there is definitely a reason for that—more than just Catholic recruiting.
