we played our worst game of the year...way to many turn overs is what killed us in that game. Though one was a bad call. On a punt we called fair catch. Before our guy could even try to catch the ball one of those huge Ensworth players reached in the air and grabbed it. Refs said it was a turn over. i was not there for that play this is what ive been told by one of the coaches. But from the 3 quarters i saw...we shot ourselves in the foot. So the secret to beat us...hope we choke

 

It wasnt a punt It was a pooch kick off and A Smyrna player called fair catch but failed to catch it .An Ensworth player recovered the ball. Since it went ten yards the same rule as an on-side kick applied. The bad thing is this happened twice in the first qtr.

Sad thing is we had clawed our way back to 16-14 even with the turnovers and boched kick offs.

You can't get everything you want in life, and you won't tomorrow night. Agree with the last few posts on the score, but will predict a 38-13 victory for the Bulldogs. Oakland didn't stop Mathers, and will have trouble stopping Bryson.

dude have you been following either team this year? Smyrna beat Riverdale for the Second time in school history..and not in a close game like the first time. Most teams havent even gotten 3 td on Smyrna.. Smyrna has pitched 3 shut outs. The team to score the most is Ensworth...who has knocked off 3 number 1 teams now. and they only got 30! no way in heck Smyrna lays down in this one...Even if smyrna loses its a close game. difference will be a field goal or less

If i remember correctly it was my junior year we tried that..Things got hecktic and people were claiming lost and stolen tickets..so they said never again

OK..thanks for the info..I will be there extra early now to avoid the LONG tix line. Hope for an injury free contest to both squads for what will be a "slobberknocker"
