Tyner at Polk County

The Doc says it would be wise to err on the side of caution before popping off on the boards here Cats fans. Tyner has played a much more difficult schedule than Polk County. They have gone up against a qb as talented as Allen when they played Baylor (Huesman). They have played against a linebacker as talented as Hargrove when they played McCallie (Coleman). They wont be surprised. Polk wasn't preparing for the playoffs when they were sitting starters in the 2nd quarter in more than half of their games. Tyner was when they strapped it up against McCallie and Baylor and Ooltewah. I wish the cats well but i dont have a good feeling about this one

 

I know there are good quarterbacks in the area, I have not seen one yet that is more physical and effective at running the ball than Allen #12. I have watched both Hargrove #38 and others play, Hargrove is hands down the best Linebacker in the area. He has improved every year from leading the area as a sophmaore in some defensive stats. I will take him and Allen over any player any day. This should be a great game. I have the utmost respect for the Tyner Rams and the Wildcats. It should be the best game in the state Friday night.

First off, I am no fool. I compare talent to talent. It does not matter what division someone plays in. If they are an athlete they are an athlete. The are great athletes in Div II, single A, AA, AAA etc. You might want to be careful with the words you use.

I wasn't refering to you as a fool ump, sorry if i came off that way. i simply meant that it would be foolish for anyone to to compare apples to oranges in different classes of football.. believe me there is a difference. not that some single A players wouldn't stand out at AAAAAA schools, but there level of success would be at a completely different level. In football, the supporting cast plays such a huge role in the individual success of others.

Just because the names are big don't mean the team is good. Take ooltewah for instance. This years ooltewah team was awful. They squeeked by walker valley ,the same walker valley team that polk could had put up 80 on. They was scared to death of polks running game. And i'm pretty sure polk could beat ooltewah by as many as they wanted to. So don't let the name fool ya.

Sorry I'm late. I was too busy looking up how to cook lamb on YouTube.

 

But the cold weather is setting in and I can't wait for a great game and atmosphere with the hint of winter in the air. I know I am talkin some talk but it is all in good fun, obviously. I am still not making a prediction because I respect the Rams and their coaching staff. I believe the game will be decided in the first half. If Polk comes out flat like they did in the first quarter against SP it could be bad, and the same goes for Tyner coming out like they have in more than one game. I still believe stamina will be a factor because I know people can scream to the tops of their lungs about "Polks starters havent played past the half all year!!!" trust me it will not be an issue. Speed may be a problem until it gets stood up and hammered a couple times. Yes "You gotta catch it first!" blah blah blah.....but it has not posed a problem when it was supposed to so many times before. This will be decided very quickly with the line being my key concern, Tyner does have some big o boys up front that like to lay on you.

 

Anyway best of luck to both teams and TRF can you bring a chianti and some Rosemary roasted red taters for a side. It is supposed to accent the bold flavor of the lamb perfectly.
