Wishful thinking? No sir, i simply stated that if Franklin comes to play and plays a solid game that they are very capable of winning this game. I have not, nor will i, say that Franklin will lose this game. i also will not state that Franklin WILL win this game. Franklin may not have played a difficult schedule this year but they have already showed that they are willing and can play with just about anyone.

yes sir...wishful thinking in the fact that you said yall stopped back from antioch and so seems as if you could stop mathers...and that blackman puts all their eggs in one basket...neither is true...but if i were you i'd be hoping that was TRUE! that is what wishful thinking is...

 

this game is in no way a automatic for blackman...but it will be tough to beat us...we have alot or respect for franklin!

Again, if you would properly read my post, I said that in 04 Antioch put all their eggs in Coker's basket and it didnt work out to well for them... I did not say that putting all your eggs in Mathers basket would not work. I am in no way affiliated with this team besides the fact that I graduated from Franklin. I hope they win but if they dont it is not the end of the world for me. Everyone underestimated Franklin last week and they walked away with the W. Im sure Franklin has a lot of respect for Blackman as well. At this point of the season if one team doesnt respect the other it could be costly.

i don't want to get in a symatic war on here...so this will be my last response...i'm just yapping and having fun on the T 98% of the time anyways...

 

i really am trying to properly read your post...so how would you or anyone else for that matter interpret your words of... "from what i've gathered so far, blackman puts all their eggs in mather's basket"... those are your words and i don't know how to read it except for "you think blackman puts all their eggs in mathers basket"...help the boy if it is something different...i'm at least open to another interpretation... :rolleyes: ...then you went on to illustrate with atioch and coker who you said did the same thing and it did not work out well for them...

 

yep...both teams better bring their A game if they want to win...and what i mean by that is "both teams better bring their A game if they want to win"...

So from what I have gathered so far, Blackman puts all of their eggs in Mathers basket... In 04 Franklin played an Antioch team that put all their eggs in Lemarcus Cokers basket... That didnt work out to well for Antioch. I know it is a different year and two totally different teams but there is no way anyone can tell me that Mathers is a better back that Coker was. If Franklin plays a solid game it will take more than just Mathers to beat Franklin.

 

Where to start .....well in my opinion Mathers is as good as Coker and by this time next year he might be better. He is that good. Its fortunate for Blackman that they don't have Coker,but its unfortunate for Franklin that the Blaze has Mathers.

 

Now here's where I'm going to get in trouble with my Blaze brethren ......Franklin is going up against the 2nd best team in the state. Smyrna is #1 until y'all beat them sorry just my opinion.

 

Blackman isn't a one trick pony by any stretch of the imagination. Their young QB has proven himself and is getting better.

 

Franklin better have a balanced offense and try to keep Blackman's defense guessing. If they rely on the passing attack alone the Blaze D-line and LB's will have a field day.

You are correct pattonboysdad, i did say that it looks like blackman puts all their eggs in one basket. I also said that antioch did it as well and it didnt work out well for them. Only stating that if Blackman comes after Franklin with a one dimensional offense it may or may not work. Also, if Franklin attacks Blackman solely through the air it may or may not work. If every other sentence from Blackman fans wasnt about Mathers we may know something else about the rest of the team. We can speculate all we want all week long about what will and wont work but until the game is played we will not know.

I'm guilty for bringing up the Brentwood Franklin game but the game this Friday is Blackman Franklin. I don't know why you would bring up 2004 and Coker. Mathers is nothing like Coker. Mathers is from what I hear a great individual and a solid member of the community not some dope smoking thug. Don't compare this game to that... And to TheAnswer21, if I remember we made it farther than Franklin last year in the playoffs... We beat you in OT? You obviously didn't give the right answer there. :P Whatever. This is going to be an excellent game and I hope Franklin pulls it out again against a higher seeded team!

From what you hear.... Did you know Coker personally or are you going by what you read in the paper? I knew Coker and yes he made some bad choices but most of what was written in the paper was embellished.

 

Anyway, i have not posted on here to take anything away from Mathers and dont feel like i said anything bad about him or Blackman. Friday will be a great game and I look forward to heading to the Boro. Havent been out there for a HS football game in a couple years.

Not arguing with either side but IF Blackman puts all of their eggs in one basket, that is one heck of a basket. Maybe the best "basket" I've seen! :thumb:

      This whole situation is bonkers. You don’t just kick your star player off the team just because you heard them say the F word; the coach definitely had something against the player, or somebody definitely did. Also, nobody has brought up the idea that the school blackmailed the college to get the college to withdraw the scholarship offer, not to mention that the coach who kicked her off is no longer even with the program; they were fired. I think this is a pretty easy lawsuit. I don’t know if she should deserve that much money, but I think she should get enough money for a full-ride scholarship if she cannot get one after this situation.

      Oh yeah, I’m sure you are different people just always on the same thread for some reason, always agreeing with each other, perhaps just a bunch of dorks who would like to ###### and moan about high school football coaches do a lot of other students, so you make a football team and get a yell at them. When they do something wrong, but I’m sure you don’t like that, do you?   and I’m sure I’m aware of where you get information. A teacher who was on the coaching staff but was fired after the new coaching and staff came in and realized he actually had to start taking his assistant job a little bit more seriously than just wanting to make a little extra cash on the side, hardly even showing up to most practices, should’ve left with his buddy to go to Farragut. I’m sure he could get him a defensive coaching job, but I doubt he will be there in three years. Looking at the way Farragut is currently going.

      It may be hard to believe but there’s more people than me that think you guys are a bunch of losers.    I’m sure the coaching staff, yourself included, cursed at a bunch of high school students. Nobody could name more than 3 coaches on staff due to the constant turnover.

      That's complete BS.  Nobody at ACHS has access to CHS student records unless a transfer is made from CHS to ACHS.

      Trez's last scandal has died down, so I guess this is there opportunity to be the best 4A team playing in 2A a la Sissy MTN.  At least they won't be in a Z-district with 1a teams in the regular season.
