Okay Big 8 lets get your thoughts on the season. I am going to throw out some categories but if you want to add some of your own that would be great.

Team of the year: DB-- Not because they won the conference but the way they did it. They Avg. over 40 pts a game while giving up under 10.

Offensive player of the year: Heath Haden-- Nobody done more for their team.

Defensive Player of the year: Kevin Connell-- You did not run right on Boone because of him.

Biggest Disappointment: SH-- I know everybody says give him a year or two but they have way to much talent to lose some of the games they did.

Biggest upset: They were not very many but you have to go with Gate City beating South at South.

I was talking about Connell a couple of hours ago.I said he would repeat on the all NET team along with Hall from Greeneville and Long from DB for DL.The other three I wasn't sure.As for defensive player of the year in the big 8,he would be in my top hand full for sure.I like Seabolt for the offense but do understand what Haden was to South, and it's up to those that vote on that one.I'll tell you what,Haden can have that and I'll add MVP and give that to Seabolt.Science Hill, hands down for biggest let down. The biggest upset,I'm not sure of.

Cloudland and Hampton are in God's country. If you haven't seen it you need to. They just so happen to have good football teams every year. But sorry, Mountain East won't work for the Big 8. It's all about the lakes...the Mountain Lakes...fish you can eat and bears and snakes and such...

You are correct, but don't leave out Stoney Creek, the Blue Hole and Poss Variety Store.
