Tennessee screwed themselves out of two wins this season lack of discipline.

Yeah right. In the LSU game lack of discipline caused the refs to not allow Tennessee time to get their defensive players in the game on the last play. And lack of disipline by Tennessee caused the refs to to "give" the North Carolina receiver a catch in the last 30 seconds of the game when it was clear it was not a catch and on top of that throw a flag on Jackson for making a illegal hit when it was clear it was not a illegal hit. And on top of that the ref signaled and anounced "end of game" as time ran out. By the rule book they cannot put time back on the clock or review any play after the ref signals and anounces "end of game". So was this lack of disipline by Tennessee or lack of disipline by the officials??? Anybody got a brain on here tonight??? The record will not show it but Tennessee went 8-5 this year under first year head coach Derick Dooley. Pretty darn good with what he was left with. All you haters to the back of the bus.

I like Tennessee also but I will not make excuses for them and to be honest they should of been another personal foul on them on the last drive.

Im not making excuses for them I have only stated the facts. You can't argue against the facts. You just went and pulled another rabbit out of your hat. I could do that against every team in every game.

If the field goal kicker hits the pat game over do you agree

How many rabbits you got in that hat? Theres always things you can pull up after a game is over and say if this and if that. That is true with every game played. But it should always be what the players did or didn't do. It should never be "mistakes" by the officials. If the official signeled and announced "end of game" then game over, do you agree?

Batman, I liked your offense this season. But I don't think it utilized your skill completely. Yes, Seabolt was a great option QB. It was his forte'. But I truly believe the Spread would have been more to your advantage. Maryville runs two...sometimes three offenses. The game has gotten complicated. And I think diversity is the order of the time. Canon and Steele were not utilized on offense. And to be honest, neither were Swafford and CS. Let's face it...that skill group was a load to have all in one year. The Spread has to have a TE and you had one in Clark. Of course a spread coach would have moved Cory Hall to TE but that is another story. Blackman had one guy...Bearden had one guy. DB had 5. And the O line to boot. Yes, D was suspect at times but at others was superb. No kicking game hurts but IMOP you had the goods. Jack says 2011 will be better...I just don't see it. Everyone knows Seabolt should have been the QB in '09. Those kinds of problems didn't plague DB in '10. Will they in '11?

I agree 110%, You hit it on every aspect.

Oh and another thing. Only two teams in all of college football has more freshman starting than does Tennessee. And only Tennesse has three starting freshman on the offensive line along with a true freshman at quarterback. Dooley is the right man to build this team into a winner. You'll see two years from now when you try to jump back on the banwagon. Now go pet your cat.

They could have started all freshman and had more class and discipline then was shown. This banwagon fan has seen them play all over the country since the seventies and this years team compares only to the 5-6 team in the late eighties in the way the season unfolded but stands at the top for lack of discipline and class. The last few years have been a great disapointment with players and coaches off the field in the football and basketball programs.I don't just lose, the entire state loses.

Yes Comp was right on most points but I only agree with 90%. I think 2011 will be a better team. And don't be suprised if you see DB use the spread often. Cook doesn't have the running talent or ball handling skills that Seabolt had but he has a better arm and he's a good enough runner and ball handler that teams will have to respect him in that area. We're going to have more than 5 playmakers next year. We're loaded at running back and expect to see a "all state" type receiver transfer and if the rummors are true another running back/receiver/defensive back that is also "all state" type. Our defense will be better and I think will include our best ever linebacker crew. Expect Clark and crew to make eliminating stupid penalities a top priority next year. The only thing that worries me is at kicker. I don't see any help coming to that position and that will probably cost us big in the end.

While your disagreeing with me on another point,I'll agree with you on some of this.I don't think the linebackers will be as good as 2006 but they will be very good.Holt is a great young coach. The offensive line is always the big question but we will be loaded in playmakers all over the field.Cook is a very good young QB and next years team could very well be a better one.

You keep talking about lack of class and discipline by coaches and players. We all know about last year and I would agree with you on that. But this is this year and we have a new coaching staff in case you haven't noticed. Give me one example of this years coaching staff not showing class. As for the players this year there have been no examples of lack of class and disipline than you will see on any other college team. You are acting more and more like a hater because your argument doesn't hold water. Whatever disipline problems they have at Tennessee will be addressed in this offseason. Give Dooley a chance. He came in late last year to a team and program that was left in shambles by Fulmer and Lame Kiffin. Kiffen raded the coaching staff and was trying to steal every player he had recruited at Tennessee. Dooley had to spend every minute he had to put together a staff, try to keep the players he had and go out and recruit new players, all at the same time. He did a heck of a job just to hold things together. And now you want to jump on him for not having disipline on the team. Which is no different from any other team. Vike was 100% correct. You need to bounce on over to the womens thread and do your posting. You don't have a clue about football.

You caught part of what I said and agreed as you should have. When your QB does just"one" of the little hand gesters Bray done, you get him over and put a stop to it.Yes they should have been flagged much more and that goes straight to the sidelines. When Dooley wins a championship at Tennesse you can put him in the same sentence with coach Fulmer.Besides you don't wait until next year to correct a problem that is happening in a game right now. That shows how little of a clue you have.

To start with there was nothing wrong with what Bray did. Its at the discretion of the ref whether to throw a flag for excessive celibration or unsportsman like conduct. Which is a stupid way to have a rule. It just gives a ref a chance to throw a game one way or the other like what happened to Kansas State in their bowl game. Your gang (wussies) have brought all of this about. They (you) don't want anybodys feeling to be hurt in the game of football. If your gang has its way in five years a player won't be able to clap his hands after a good play and we won't be keeping score. Your gang has already started this in the little leagues. The only thing I agreed with you on was last year....which has nothing to do with this years team or staff. As far as whether the coaching staff said anything to Bray after the hand gester's, you nor I know if they did or didn't. You are just assumeing they didn't. In the begining (1990's) Fulmer was either good or lucky enough to surround himself with a good staff that was also very good recruiters. After all that started to leave him we found out that he couldn't recruit, was a less than average coach, and was fat and lazy. He was a good guy and I still like him but the truth is the truth. I hope this doesn't make you cry because I am starting to see that the reason you hate Tennessee is because of what happened to Fulmer there.

Missing a few players who were playing baseball but still absolutely dominated. A lot of young ones got in halfway through the 3rd when the score reached 33-0. QB Tilton Pickett looked very sharp.  Sam Pickett is on another level this season. Seems to have put on 15 to 20 lbs in the off season and added a step as well. Transfer from last year Williamson caught numerous balls and is very elusive. Lots of athletes on this team. Defense was smothering and will only get better. The head coach from Sewanee was in attendance and offered 2 kids after the game. Could be a special year.
