rebelman22
Heard Desmund Horne is still hurt any word on his ability to play friday? Heck of a game by Shawn Prevo Oak Ridge is going to have to find a way to stop the run regardless of who is back that. Good luck to both teams; can't wait for this game to get started. He is just as good, if not better than he was before the injury..

FBEmeritus
While the cooking is still going I thought I would surf in. Congratz to Oakridge for getting to the place Maryville usually is, playing after thanksgiving! It is nice to up there with the so called “Big Boysâ€! I think after two seasons one would say Maryville can hang with Best most of the time. Still I expect Maryville to take care of business early and carry the momentum to the State Game. Am I saying Maryville will beat Oakridge, Yes! The forecast looks nasty and cold, great football weather. I wish everyone a safe and plentiful Thanksgiving Day. God Bless one and all. REBELRON
Maryville needs to keep playing well. The execution by Maryvilles offense since the William Blount game has been great. I don't expect Maryville to put up huge numbers against Oak Ridge because OR is very good on defense. If Maryville can put up 30 on Oak Ridge I like their chances. Maryville's defense has been playing well lately. Rocky Fludd and Bradley Zulliger scare me to death. Fludd is a very good tailback with breakaway speed. Zulliger scares me because he can make a broken play into a big play.
Domenic
" That rule about seats is a fact in basketball for playoff games. Until we got the "Chuck Dome" we couldn't host the big games in post season. it used to be a rule for football too.

oldrebel
it used to be a rule for football too. We've been hosting semi-final games at home for the last 12 years. This has never been brought up. I'm pretty sure seating capacity has never been at issue for football games. Heck, the most recent Blount Today references the A & AA championship games being held at Goddard Field in 1977 - and unless they tore a bunch of stands down in the late 70's that place has always been smaller than MHS.
