Ok, I'm not sure why the other one was locked but we fired up Devil fans need at least 3 days to crow about this one...and it may take Boski about the same time to consume his big helping of the tough black bird.All those Greeneville haters who said Greeneville couldn't play 4 quarters of football should have seen that bone crushing 8 minute drive Greeneville mounted late in this one. BJ Spradlin is my hero. The decision to sent Hall in to block for him was brilliant. I think from a talent perspective, these teams were evenly matched...Broome just got out-coached or as we like to call it "hit by the Caine Train". GO GREENE!!!

This game is over! time to face Trezevant a team just as fast and big as Maplewood, you got lucky once, DOUBT you can do it again!!!

Maplewood beat themselves by getting off their game plan with this "air attack" , you had 3 turnovers and scored one td off of a wild pass that could have been knocked down or picked real easy, I say luck was on your side the defense was there. you really had no answer for #20, maybe because he only showed up on that game film 4 times before he left the game vs David Lipscomb, back to Trezevant Pride of Memphis!! they will contain willy and bj if they just look at what Maplewood did on defense, noticed eveyone talking about 4th qtr, I was not impressed with some calls, had the officals not flagged the Maplewood(offsides/encroachment) for the same thing the devils did early in the 3rd your drive stalls Maplewood gets ball back and your 16 play drive would have ended after 3 plays. but dont worry about this game you got you hands full now, get them Trezevant !! and no hood jokes please.

He is not hating omg!!! Maplewood did fail seriously with the air attack..your next team will be better then maplewood.

Maplewood was a very talented team. There was some questionable coaching decisions and even worse than the play calling was the Panther's tackling. Broome was quoted saying they were trying to strip the ball and "we teach them to do that". Man if they had just TACKLED Spradlin, they might could have stopped that last drive. He just kept churning along with 2 or 3 Maplewood players trying to hang on and create a turnover. As far as Trezevant being a better team, well I guess we'll see what the best of the West brings to Cookeville. GO GREENE!!!!

Nope #20 was a real player...Broome was a bonehead for not riding that horse. As far as Trezevant being able to use the Maplewood film to get ready, well I'm pretty sure there will be a nice dry rug in Cookeville instead of that mudhole and Willy C likes the rug...

saw many greeneville players trying same thing your #11 was trying to strip the ball the whole time looks like your guys were taught the same.. it was a good game

...my crow was not that bad... still proud of my panthers... this one falls on the coaches ...players just doing as they were told... panthers ran a formation early in the season where #26 and #20 were on the field at the same time..and it was dangerous ..i was hoping id see it this game... oh well next time...we will be back ..young team with more talent moving up. any how good luck... ill be pulling for Trezavent ..a team Maplewood played a few years ago... should have peaked by now...so look to face another good defense.. 1 more to go ...can you finish???

was there enough seating? did you get jacked or mugged? shot or stabbed? car broken into? did you enjoy the game? were the fans rude and hostile? for the guy with the " hood phobia " ...Maplewood is just like any other school....just like someone said in another post... just had to let you see for yourself instead of making a big circus out of things... glad you guys enjoyed you're trip down..and had a safe trip back..maybe you come and see us again next year!!!

      Richland plays at McKenzie on Wed.  Should be a good series.  Does Richland have good pitching?

      Congratulations to the Warrior baseball team winning the Region Championship.  Last night the football team beat Franklin Co 33-0 in their spring scrimmage. Warriors looked very good. Missing a few players who were playing baseball but still absolutely dominated. A lot of young ones got in halfway through the 3rd when the score reached 33-0. QB Tilton Pickett looked very sharp.  Sam Pickett is on another level this season. Seems to have put on 15 to 20 lbs in the off season and added a step as well. Transfer from last year Williamson caught numerous balls and is very elusive. Lots of athletes on this team. Defense was smothering and will only get better. The head coach from Sewanee was in attendance and offered 2 kids after the game. Could be a special year.
