8 A/AA Early Predictions

Another team added to district 8AA this year from murfressburo, Central Magnet. Last year Friendship from lebanon was put in our disrict an ended up winning the district championship. DeKalb Co, Livingston Academy, York Insitute, Smith County, Jackson County, Cannon County, Central Magnet, and Friendship Christian.So much for a first round bye come district tourny. May be a little early, but based from the returning teams, any thoughts? early predictions? Any imput to get things going?

Friendship from lebanon will win district championship again this year and advance to sub-state. With 9 returning seniors they will be very hard to stop

DeKalb opened the season today at Cumberland. DC 2 Cumberland 0

DeKalb could win the district this year they are looking great.

 

They went undefeated in their pre-season invitational tournament. Results were:

They defeated Cannon 2-0.

They defeated Cumberland Co. 3-0.

They defeated Middle TN. Christian 2-0.

They defeated Cumberland 2-1.

 

Then in the first game of the season they beat Cumberland 2-0.

In the second game of the season they beat York 7-0.

Grats FC. York doesn't seem to have the competitiveness they usually have. I think they lost some key players last year an just lost all motivation. Looks like its gonna be a fight for the District. Dekalb travels to cookeville tonight.

york did not take the game seriously.. they were laughing about the loss.. fc travels to cheatham co tomorrow night

York changed a lot from the previous years..they usually come out fighting and at least put up a fight. Dekalb got our first lost tonight 4-0 at Cookeville. The field was flooded and very slick.. Cookeville had great first touches and passed the ball well. gl at cheatham FC

sorry my mistake we played at cannon county not cheatham.. and the score was 7 to 1, is cookville livingston or?

Cannon seemed to have more will for the game in preseason. more than previous years..and no cookeville is putnam county. Cookeville cavaliers.. Livingston wildcats. Cookeville is in the 3a district with warren, white.. etc. Dekalb travels to franklin co tomorrow. Should be a great tournament. anyone know the score of the livingston and smith co game?
